"The temple I grew up in isn't your ordinary temple. It is the home of a rare silver dragonborn race. I can't go into much detail, but let's say. There is a reason why their temple is on one of the highest mountains in the land. Everyday I woke up to the prettiest sunrise, my bedroom window was on the east side of the temple. I was very lucky."
"Silver dragonborn? asks Gundren "But you're..."
I cut off Gundren "Green? I know" I continue my story.
"When I turned eighteen, the grand master of the temple finally told me the story of my parents. To this day, I still don't know why they kept it a secret from me."
"One morning, two green dragonborn were found just outside the front gate during a patrol. When a nurse checked the bodies, she knew it immediately, the green male and female dragonborn froze to death. Unfortunately the blizzard from the night before took their lives."
"They died holding each other in their arms. When the monks took them apart, they found an egg wrapped inside blankets and a letter between the bodies. When the nurse picked up the egg, she could sense the it still had life in it."
"No one knew how they got to the temple, you need a special map to navigate the mountain side. They guessed they just got extremely lucky."
"Their bodies were buried just outside the temple grounds, I always wondered who the graves belonged to. Well that day I knew. For some reason I did not feel sad when the grand master told me, I guess it is because I never knew them. But I do remember getting really angry. I have never seen their faces, but they do appear in my dreams, well nightmares."
"The masters discussed if they should hatch the egg. Some of them did not want to hatch it, because you know, outsiders were not allowed in the temple. It was a whole happening, but the grandmaster (a very old dragonborn, like very old) made the final decision. The egg will be hatched, and TADA! I was born not many days later."
"This is quite the story, Doctor." Gundry says while he looks at me "I am sorry that happend to you."
"Yeah..."I sigh
"What was it like, growing up?" Gundren asks
"It was okay. I was treated like all the other young monks, but I was still the outsider. Being the only green one, well, you know how kids can be. So most of the time I was alone, during class, lunch and even outside of school. Sometimes even the masters would not even look at me. They even gave me my own bedroom, the others did not want to sleep in the same room as me"
'"Really?" Gundren eyes widen a bit "What did the masters teach you?"
"All sorts of things. History, medicine and nursing, different languages, martial arts, acrobatics, meditating and about the outside world." I say
"Let me guess, your favorite classes were martial arts and acrobatics?" Gurdan says with a smile.
"Oh I loved those classes! I actually was in the top rankings of our sparring class, The others
liked to use weapons, but I did not. We had to run different kinds of obstacle courses, It was way too easy for me. They told me to stop showing off, but I just kept doing flips and shit. It was amazing" I say with a little smile."One time I pissed off the martial arts master. He was so angry, he told me to fight the entire class at once. It was me against fifteen other students, of course I won. But then I got cocky and challenged the master. Let's say, for weeks I had to drink my food. He put me in the hospital wing with a broken jaw, a couple of broken ribs and a swollen eye." I laugh a bit.
"And what about the other classes?" Gundren asks
"Actually, I was a whole different person in those classes, I took those very seriously" I tell Gundren. 'Always paying attention, never making a sound and asking a lot of questions. I wanted to learn as much as possible, especially about the world outside the temple. But we were told, we could never leave the temple. Only masters on really rare occasions could leave the grounds."
