Light Me Up

Hunters POV

"Oh baby you light me uuuuppp!" I sang, a wide smile stretching wider and wider across my face. I was on my way to meet Scarlett at the local Starbucks. I completely forgot about Haley. She was the love of my life, and I had forgotten about her almost less than 24 hours. Why? Was I truly in love? Was this distraction, if so, going to last? The questions raced through my mind, like cars in a race track. Before I knew it, I was pulling up to the Starbucks I agreed to meet Scarlett at. I hoped out of my Range Rover, opening the door, the smell of coffee and cookies filling my nose. I looked around, taking a deep breath. Then I saw her. She was perfect. Absolutely gorgeous- wait no! Stop the Hunter! You just met her... But why does it feel like I've known her forever?

Scarlett's POV

As I arrived 10 minutes early, I was comforted by the coziness and warmth of the shop. I ordered my coffee and picked a table, pulling out my phone, checking my Twitter and Instagram. I felt a light tap on my shoulder, as I turned around, I met a pair of stunning blue eyes. "Hunter!" I got up and hugged him. "Hey Scar!" Wow, nicknames, hugging... We've only known each other for not even 24 hours. We talked and then, it was sadly time to leave. "So, I guess this is goodbye?" He asked. "I guess... But not forever, right?" I asked, scared of the answer. He had a life, he was famous, working in another album. "What? No! Unless you want it to be..." He looked down. "No, I'd like to see more you soon." I smiled warmly. The tension was growing as he was silent, looking straight int my eyes. As if subconsciously, we both leaned in. And as cheesy as it sounded, the whole world stopped, it was just us. I smiled into the kiss, him doing the same. We both pulled away, breathing heavily from the kiss. Did I just kiss Hunter Hayes?! After a moment, he spoke, "Will you be my girlfriend? I know we just met, but it seems like I've known you for forever."

I looked straight into his eyes and nodded, "Yes! I thought you'd never ask."
