Chapter Four

__________________________________________________________

"Ms. Walsh."

"Ms. Walsh."

"Ms. Walsh."

That's all I've heard for the last week. Everywhere Mr. Wilder saw me, he greeted me in a monotone voice. It didn't even bother me that he was saying hi, it bothered me that he couldn't say my first name. Dammit! I saw him semi naked! I could've seen the real package, but I didn't, I behaved myself. And that's another thing that bothers me, I, Mackenzie Walsh, behaved myself!

I was still mad of course mad at him over this, he was making me the opposite of me.  I was having to work for his affection. Affection that may or may not even be worth it because he's a tough egg to crack. Then again, it's only been two weeks, maybe I need to have a little patience. Patience was hard and stressful to come by though when you're just not use to it.

I was doing my homework everyday, studying for his quizzes and tests, I never had to work so hard for someone to notice me. He even gave me a "nice improvement," with a cheeky grin that actually made my heart jump ten times. Something is wrong with me, terribly, terribly wrong.

"Babe, what's wrong?" Dan asked me as he played with my hair. It wasn't something I typically allowed, but right now I was settling.

Even Dan, the blondest, and not just mind wise, guy I had ever met, knew something was up!

"Just thinking," I said back. This time I was over at his house in his room. I was never as comfortable in his room as I was in Ryan's, then again, I wasn't ever naked in Ryan's room either.

"About?" he asked as he kissed my neck. We had been spooning and talking for far too long.

"'I've got to go," I mumbled, pushing myself off of his bed and putting my clothes back on.

He sat immediately up and rustled with his blonde hair. "Please stay longer," he blue eyes looked like he meant it, which he probably did, but I just couldn't.

"I've got homework, Dan."

He started chuckling, loud and ferociously. I frowned.

"If you're going to make up lies and excuses, make them believable, babe," he ended with a grin, he crawled to the end of his bed and put his big, did I mention the whole big hands big well you get it, actually applies to him, hands around my arms trying to bring me into a hungry kiss.

"I'm being serious."

"Whatever, I'll call you tomorrow," he said, falling onto his back waving good bye to me as I left his room.

"I'm sure you will."

I left his house, which actually wasn't that enormous. Typically all the hot, popular guys were rich, or so that's how everyone thought they were supposed to be, but not him, his house was just average. He lived with his single mother and his thirteen year old sister. I could never remember her name though.

"How was school?" my dad asked, coming into my room since the door was wide open.

"Good," I mumbled back looking through my notes that I had taken earlier that day from Mr. Wilder's power point.

Dad nodded looking me up and down.

It finally got to me after three minutes so I put my pencil down on my bed beside me and stopped skimming my notes for the answers that I had to find for the homework.
