You walk down the packed streets of Musutafu, browsing restlessly on your phone after a long texting fight with one of your friends. Soon you enter a park, and find a bench to sit on. As you put your phone down, you decide to try and enjoy the scenery. Green leaves on trees, pink flowers on each, warm breeze passing through, cheerful chatter from other children and adults. As you take it all in, you see Miruko, the No. 5 hero skipping down the dirt road munching happily on a carrot. You call out to her, and get up. "Rumi! Hey!" you shout. She notices you, and jogs over. "Hey, girl! How's life?" The two of you walk down the road chatting and laughing and catching up on events that have recently happened. As you talk, you eventually look up into the sky, and see an odd red flash. You frown slightly, but to your demise Rumi notices. "Hey, what's up? Something wrong?" she asks. You tell her everything's fine, you and continue chatting. Soon you exit the park, and head to a cafe. You end up seeing Hawks, sipping coffee with his phone in-hand. You both find a table and continue chatting. You glance over to the table Hawks is sitting at, and suddenly start smiling. "Okay, I know that look. Girl, you like my best friend." You giggle awkwardly, and deny the fact that you do like him. "I know that tone too, YOU FREAKING LIKE HIM!" she insists, laughing. "You really are persistent." you say under your breath. Soon Hawks gets up and pays his check. As he leaves, every two seconds you'd look over to him. You immediately look back at your cup of coffee. "Giiiiirl, GO FOR IT!" Rumi says, putting her hands on your shoulders. "Thanks Rumi, but nah. I mean, he doesn't even know I exist! And plus, you wouldn't let it happen." You take a sip of your coffee and look around the cafe, as if looking for someone to back you up. "You know damn well I would!" After your little argument about whether you should talk to Hawks or not, you both walk out of the cafe. Rumi jumps a little bit, and checks her phone. She apologizes, and says she needs to leave and tend to a mission. You nod and wave as she leaps over to a tree, swings off it, and hops out of sight. You sigh, and start your journey home. Once you get to your house, you notice your door was unlocked. I thought I locked it before I left... You think to yourself, and walk inside. Soon enough you notice freaking HAWKS ON YOUR COUCH! You yelp, and step back once, wincing. All he could do was chuckle, and get up. "Are you really that surprised?" he asks, mockingly. "Yes, Hawks! Yes I am! AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY DAMN HOUSE?!" You yell. "Hey! Hey! Language!" He says, raising his hands as if he'd been caught but the police. "I know I broke in, "Breaking and entering", blah blah blah. But it really isn't a big deal." he explains, and walks over to you. You step back again. He pulls you closer with his wing. "W-what are you doing?!" you plead, blushing even more. He laughs, and puts his wing back in place. You scan him up and down with a suspicious look on your face. He does the same as if to mock you. You look away, and blush. AgAiN! "So, kid. I heard you think I don't know you exist?" He mutters. "Yeah.. Guess I was wrong.." You reply, and finally take the opportunity to step further back. Hawks chuckles and facepalms. "I know you had a rough start to the day. And me breaking in probably made it a bit worse, but I promise I'll make it up to you!" He says. You shake your head hurriedly and show you're flustered. "Y-you really don't have to! It's not your fault! I-" "Shhh..." He interrupts. Your whole face starts feeling hot. Is he trying to embarrass you? Or does he mean this? You open your mouth to speak, but instead your words are blocked by a kiss. He smiles, and pulls away. You squeeze your eyes shut and groan. "You're embarrassing me!!" You shout. Hawks' only reaction is a chuckle, as he massages your shoulder affectionately. "I know. I'll see you tomorrow, kiddo!" He whispers, and struts out the door as if none of this had just happened. You close the door behind him, lock it, and run straight to your room squealing. "DAMN YOU HAWKS!" You shout at your window, as you watch him fly away. You turn around, close your eyes, and smile. The first time you were actually happy in years.
Two hours later, you look at your alarm clock: 7:48 pm. You sigh, and head to the kitchen to make yourself some food. Soon you hear a knock at your door, and think it Hawks again. "Go away Hawks, I've had enough of you for the day!" You say loudly, and laugh. As you turn around, you see Bakugou yelling through the glass over your window, apparently angered by the fact you thought he was Hawks. You try not to crack up and walk to the front door. As you open it, Bakugou stomps through, pins you to the wall, closes the door, and yells. "WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU THINK I WAS THAT EXTRA?! DO I LOOK LIKE A MUTATED CHICKEN TO YOU?!" You laugh and push him away. "He was here earlier, that's why." He calms down, and follows you to the kitchen. You continue cooking, and Bakugou watches. "What's that?" he asks you. "Spaghetti." You reply briefly. He nods, slightly, and leaves the kitchen. When you're done, you set a bowl of spaghetti on either side of the kitchen table. "So why'd you visit?" You ask Bakugou. "Deku asked." You nod and proceed to eat. After a long evening of chatting, yelling, laughing, and arguing, you show Bakugou to the door. "See you at school tomorrow!" You call. He waves back at you without looking behind him. You close the door, put the dishes in the sink, and get ready for bed. As you brush your teeth, you think about what happened earlier with Hawks. You wonder if he'll actually come back. Nah, that's stupid. You think to yourself, as you finish brushing. Soon you're laying in bed, wide awake."Great. Now I can't sleep." you whisper. And get out of bed. You put a hoodie over your pajama shirt and head out to your balcony. It's all still and quiet, but when you look around one more time, you see radiant, red wings. What now? Is he spying on me? You try to look closer without falling off, and see that he's actually asleep. He might be playing a trick on you, but still. Heh, maybe he wasn't spying on you after all. You head back inside, feeling a little sleepier. You take off the hoodie and tuck yourself back into bed, and immediately fall asleep. The next morning, you sit up, rub the sleep from your eyes, and look around your room. You make the mistake of looking to your left, and find Hawks fast asleep beside you. You almost fall out of your bed, but as soon as you get over the fact that he's there, you smile. Quietly, you get out of bed and ready yourself for school. Another day at U.A, and another day of Mr. Aizawa's lectures. You get into your uniform, and start brushing your long, wavy hair. As you do so, you start humming the song, Rocketeer. Soon, Hawks wakes up to your voice, and follows it. He walks into the bathroom where you're standing and puts his arms around you. You start to struggle, but then calm down and realize he's hugging you. You giggle and proceed to brush your hair. When you're done, oddly you're not making your own breakfast, but Hawks is making it for you. Something suddenly seems off to you... He hasn't said a word since yesterday... You think to yourself, as you look through your instagram blankly. All he did was smile. "Hey, Hawks..?" You finally say. He chuckles, and says, "I was waiting for that. And call me Keigo." You look at him blankly, and correct yourself. "Keigo...?" "Yeah?" you take a deep breath and continue. "Why are you here...? You should be on missions with Rumi.." He chuckles and shakes his head. "You're really that clueless? First off, Rumi does solo missions, and second off, I'd rather be here." "Hey, I just woke up, bruh. Ya can't blame me." You both laugh, as Keigo serves you your breakfast. As you eat, he smiles at you, and winks. You blush, and groan in annoyance. A moment of silence. Suddenly you both start laughing for no reason. "Why the hell are you so annoying, Keigo?" You ask, between laughs. "I dunno! You tell me!" He says. You finish the last of your food, and head to the sink. "You're not gonna eat?" He shakes his head, and you smile. "Hurry off to school before I change my mind." He says, finally. The two of you walk to the doorway, and he kisses you on your cheek. You giggle, hug him, and run off. Keigo watches you run until you're out of sight, locks your door, and flies off to his own mission.
Once you get to school, Izuku and Ochako are waiting for you. They wave to you as soon as they spot you, calling you over. Instead, you run past them, giving them no choice but to chase after you. Once they catch up to you, you slow down and catch your breath. The three of you walk to class together, chatting. "Hey, Suzuki?" Ochako asks after a bit of silence. "Yeah?" You reply, smiling. "You seem really happy today! Did something happen?" You explain everything with excitement, and Izuku is stunned by the news. "Wait.... HAWKS SHOWED UP AT YOUR HOUSE?! THE NO. 2 HERO?!" By the time you're done explaining, the three of you are already at class 1-A's door. You all walk in, to the sound of Tenya, raging over the fact that you were FIVE MINUTES EARLY AND NOT TEN! You try to calm him down, and take your seat. As you sit, you find yourself thinking about Keigo again. You can't resist it, so you let it happen. As more students walk into class, one part of you starts hoping he'll walk in with them, as if he were heading to class himself. You sigh, but still try to act normal in front of a whole class of people. Soon, Mr. Aizawa walks in, and starts the day. It goes on like this for several weeks, too.
One weekend, you and Rumi are chilling at the beach, chatting about guys, as usual. "Soooooo? Any news with Keigo?" Rumi askes. You scour your brain for the most recent memories with him. "He took me to a restaurant two days ago!" "OooooOooooO!" Rumi replies. "Of course, he got chicken nuggets." You keep chatting, and soon decide to hit the water. You both change into your swimsuits, and race down to the ocean. You start playing beach volleyball, and splash each other with salty, warm water. Soon, you don't notice him, but Hawks lands on the roof of a building and watches the two of you from there. You and Rumi finally get tired and get out of the water. You both decide to tan, so you get out your towels and lay down. Keigo smiles, and flies away. Three hours later you're home again, and Keigo is waiting in the doorway. He pulls you close to him with his wing, and you blush. He kisses your head and picks you up. You don't try to struggle, or try to make him drop you. Keigo carries you to the couch, and lays you down. You blush as he smiles down at you, and leaves for a minute to get a blanket. Your face feels really hot. On the outside you're smiling, but on the inside you're screaming your lungs out. What was this feeling? Happiness? No... Something way more complex. Love.
