The girls were in their finest dresses and the boys were in their slickest suits as the students of Hillerska filled the grand hall.
After taking a little too many pictures of her children done up to the 9s, Simon's mom dropped both him and Sara off at the front door of the hall. "Have fun you two!" She said joyfully, Sara didn't say anything back before slipping out of the car. It took a lot of convincing from her mother but Sara decided last minute that she would show up to the dance. However, she was still in a terrible mood.
Simon glanced at her as she walked up to the door alone before he looked back at him mom, "Thanks Mama," He kissed her cheek, "I'll text you when we need to be picked up."
Linda smiled at her son, "Ok Querido, Is Wilhelm already here?" She asked with a smirk, Simon had told his mother about him and the princes reconnection and how it felt as if they were heading towards a serious relationship.
"Yeah, he called me before I left saying he'd meet me inside." Simon blushed lightly, his mother noticed and smiled.
"Well, you two have fun. Love you, have a nice night." She said as Simon opened the door, fixing his suit jacket as he got out of the car.
He gave his mother one last wave before heading into the building. The music was so loud he felt it vibrate slightly through his chest, there were students dancing together and talking in groups.
It was at if his sister had disappeared into thin air because she was no where to be seen, Simon however was looking for a specific boy with blonde hair.
There he was. He wore a classic black suit along with his silver cross necklace and he was standing next to Felice. Simon had noticed how close the two had become and it warmed his heart to see his lover find a friend who cared about him unlike August who seemed to be Wilhelm's closet companion when he first started at Hillerska.
Simon slipped through the crowd and creeped up behind the taller boy, "Your majesty." He teased, Wilhelm turned around to see Simon and his face instantly lite up.
"Simon! Hey, you look amazing." Wilhelm blushed, Simon noticed Felice chuckle slightly at how flustered the prince got.
The curly haired boy smiled at Felice before looking back up at Wilhelm, "Thanks, you look good as well." He said as he stared the prince up and down, this only made the taller boy blush harder.
"I'm going to leave you two alone." Felice smirked as she grabbed her drink.
Wilhelm smiled lightly, "Are you sure? Where are you going to go?"
Felice smiled back, "Its alright I'll just go find Stella and Madison." She gave the princes arm and squeeze before walking away. Simon watched Felice walk away before smiling up at Wilhelm.
"You two seem close." He said.
Wilhelm nodded, "Yeah, she means a lot to me. I'm not sure if she still has feelings for me but she knows that we're..." he began, hoping Simon would connect the dots and finish the sentence himself. Still to that moment they were unsure when they were. Simon's heart had skipped a beat that one night when Wilhelm had asked him to the dance and called them a couple. Maybe that was what they were, a couple, but boyfriends? That had never been a label either of them have even mentioned.
Simon nodded, "I know what you mean Wille." He smiled softly.
He watched as the prince left out a small sigh of relief. It was strange, for both boys, to have finally found someone who can feel everything each other are feeling. They simply understood each other in ways Wilhelm was afraid no one else would understand him.
