Birds chirped as Emily opened her blue orbs. Her glossy gaze rested on what was her messy desk. On the desk were countless candy wrappers and Doritos. The mess surrounded a rainbow keyboard with countless stickers that were unintelligible due to how faint they were. A normal, surprisingly clean monitor rested behind it alongside the computer. She has been meaning to clean her desk for once but it was rather hard to accomplish with her nagging sister and mother always making her do things she never wanted to do such as soccer. Lifting herself out of a laying position and into a sitting position, Emily groaned as she realized her sandals were across the room. Standing up, she cringed as the cold, hard wooden floor touched her feet. Quickly growing used to the feeling, she mindlessly grabbed her phone and staggered towards the bathroom. Emily's room was rather... strange. There was never a specific theme and often seemed to change as she collected more useless items off the street. Coins were stuck to the wall with chewed gum and broken pieces of colored glass were arranged to resemble the logo from her favorite band. Waterbottles, full and empty, rested in corners and under her bed. The only relatively clean surface was her nightstand. Even then, it was still sticky with previously spilt soda and other substances that could not be identified. Her mini fridge rested in the corner, filled to the brim with monster drinks, most spilling out onto the floor.
Emily had made it to her bathroom door. Stickers and rude words covered every corner. Just as her hand rested a loud ping erupted from her phone. Glancing to her Lock Screen, a notification from discord rested there waiting to be opened. She hadn't used discord in years; in fact she had completely forgotten it was even installed on her phone. It seemed to be a direct message from someone under the user:
