The lockdown of Beacon continues. Huntsmen and huntresses make attempts to hunt Y/n down. But every attempt has ended with the hunters becoming the hunted. Y/n enjoys the thrill of the hunt.
Meanwhile Ruby tries to find out who killed Y/n. She is alone in this endeavor. But it doesn't mean that she'll give up.
Since Y/n seemingly only attacks at night, daylight provides a sense of safety. But that safety can be taken away in an instant.
Finding bodies of the dead every morning has become common.
In times of fear, blame is shifted between individuals. This includes Ruby.
Ruby walks the courtyard.
?: Ruby Rose!
Ruby turns to see team Crdl with their weapons drawn.
Ruby: *confused* Um.
Cardin: We aren't going to die because of you!
Ruby: Wait, what?!
Cardin: We know that you're working with that son of a bitch!
Ruby: Wait!
Cardin: Shut up!
Cardin slams his mace on the ground. The rest charge for Ruby. Ruby used her semblance to get around them.
Cardin predicts her next movement and slams his mace on the ground, creating a shockwave.
Ruby falls down on the ground from the shockwave.
She looks up and sees Crdl surrounding her.
Cardin: End of the line.
Ozpin: Enough!
Ozpin appears from the right.
Ozpin: I can assure you. Miss Rose, is not working for Y/n.
Cardin: But-!
Ozpin: But nothing! The last thing we need to be doing, is fighting ourselves!
Crdl left. Ruby gets up and dusts herself off.
Ozpin: It seems that all this chaos is doing nothing but divide us.
Ruby: Yeah.
Ozpin: *sigh* I never thought things could get worse.
Ruby: Professor. Did you know about Professor Port?
Ozpin: So he gave you one too?
Ruby nods.
Ozpin: *sighs* No. But that part doesn't matter. Either way I still have to remove cameras from everyone's dorm. I should have saw the signs.
Ruby: But it isn't your fault.
Ozpin: It is. I run this place. I dread to think of how long this has been going on for. I only wish that I could have stopped it myself.
Ruby: Why do you think bothered with giving you a photo?
Ozpin: I reckon that it's to make me aware of the situation. That I've failed my students.
Ruby: So what will you do now?
Ozpin: The only thing I can. Defeat Y/n. I don't have another choice.
Hours later the sun sets. And the hunt begins once more.
A group of huntsmen and huntresses have arrived to try their luck. Twenty arrive but none will leave.
The group treads carefully across the courtyard.
Y/n begins to cackle. The group draws their weapons and ready themselves.
Y/n appears in front of them.
Y/n: More little lambs. More for me to slaughter. *chuckles* But don't worry, I'll bring you all back soon enough.
The group charges at Y/n. But all the efforts were in vain. The screams of the group fills the night. But Y/n had another target once he was done.
Team Crdl.
Cardin is unsuspecting of the attack about to happen and goes to brush his teeth.
He turns the light on and goes to grab his toothbrush. But it is missing.
He looks in the mirror and sees Y/n behind him. Y/n puts his arms around Cardin's neck. Y/n is holding Cardin's toothbrush.
Y/n: Hey there. Remember me?
Cardin is frozen in fear.
Y/n: I saw the little scuffle in the courtyard. And you were very wrong. Ruby isn't working for me, yet. But you made one mistake.
Y/n gripped Cardin's chin with his bloodied hand. Y/n broke the toothbrush in half.
Y/n: You hurt my Ruby.
Y/n stabbed Cardin in the side with the toothbrush shiv. Y/n threw Cardin to the ground and began to stab him repeatedly.
Cardin screamed, but nobody could help him. His team is already dead. And he will join them.
Y/n finally get his satisfaction once Cardin finally dies from his wounds.
Y/n laughs as he stabs Cardin one last time in the chest. He leaves the toothbrush in Cardin's chest and leaves.
In the morning all the bodies are found, including team Crdl.
But it is far from over.
