Chapter 1

JJ's pov:

I walked around on the beach late at night while thinking, "why? Why did he have to beat me again..?" I thought to myself as tears were in my eyes. "I didn't know that it was illegal to be gay.." I thought as I chuckled softly and I laid down on the sand and I started laughing but then it turned to me full on crying.

"It hurts.. it hurts so much.." I mumbled as I wiped the blood off of my lips. "Girls.. girls.. girls.. girls.. date them.. they're so damn beautiful.. that's what you date, JJ.. girls.." I said to myself as I was trying to not cry.

"You have to love girls, JJ.. not guys.. okay?! Be smart.. like girls!!" I said to myself with more tears in my eyes. "Like those hot girls.. like Kie.. a-and that hot bo- no.. sarah.. like thoses girls, JJ.. okay..?" I say to myself as I sit up.

"You can't like the boys anymore.. you're not a girl, JJ.. only girls can like boys.." I say to myself as I get up. I started walking around in circles telling myself, "girls, girls, girls. You can only like girls..!" I yell to myself as tears start falling.

I quickly wiped my tears away and I stopped crying at once. I put a fake smile on and I splashed my face with water and I started walking to John B's. Once I walked inside I saw John B, Sarah, Pope, and Kiera. "H-hey guys.." I say as I walk in.

"JJ.. are you okay?" Kie asked me. "Oh yes yes yes I'm great actually.." I say with a fake smile. "Anyone got some like beer?" I asked while looking around. "JJ what happened?" Sarah asked. I hated Sarah. She reminded me of Rafe and it hurt me way to much. "Nothing. I just got my daily beat. It's nothing important, okay? I'm okay.." I said while lying.

"You're not okay man. Tell us what's wrong." John B said to me. "No no no. I'm okay." I say with a big fake smile on my face. "So uh sarah how's your shitty brother?" I asked her. "Uh hes.. I don't know.. why?" Sarah asked. "I don't know." I said with a shrug.

"Okay anyways, Midsummers is in a few days. JJ, you're coming with me again." Kie said. "Okie dokie." I say. "John B, you're going with Sarah, and Pope are you gonna help your dad out again?" Kie asked. "Yes I am." Pope says as I lie down on the couch.

Rafes pov:

"So, son, who are you going to take to the midsummers?" Ward asked me. "Nobody. I'm gonna go alone." I say while looking out the window. "You should take one of those hot girls. They would love to be there with Rafe Cameron." Wars said.

"Nahh.. I'm good." I say as I look around. "You're finding a date." Ward says. "Why would I? They would probably be invited to the midsummers anyways." I say. "Oh right. Anyways pick out something good." Ward said before walking out of my room.

I sigh as I lay down on my bed while mentally slapping myself. "You have to like girls, rafe." I mumble to myself. "But JJ just looks so hot with his hair like that.. and his eyes.." I mumble to myself while smirking softly.

I look down at my pants as I felt them getting tighter. "You've got to be kidding me." I mumble with a sigh as I look at my hard member. "Damn it." I say as I quickly hide my pants. "What is he doing to me?!" I asked myself with a groan.
