Chapter 2:
Hours passed, Kris already left because it was getting late. The doctor came in and gave some information about Ana's condition.
Unfortunately..." My doctor said I only have 30 days left to live." She told Kris.
She was devastated. But in heart, she knew the end was about to come.
Kris was so heartbroken, too. Seeing his Friend suffer was morw painful than the aching of Ana's body.
But he kept silent so as not to make her worry for him. Kris read.
"James 1:2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness."
Starting that day, they started praying to God, hoping He could give her a chance to live longer or better, even cure her illness. They gave devotions to God. Everyday one Bible verses inspires her.
On the first day, Ephesians 2:8-9 " For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast."
