Ruv x Reader - Starlit Skies

You walked with Ruv, hand in hand, up the hill. You and Ruv are going on your first date, and he had brought you to a quiet hill somewhere near the church.

You readjusted the bag on your shoulder. "We almost there?" You asked Ruv.

"Yes," he replied, glancing back at you. "Just a couple hundred feet I think."

Once the two of you got to the top, you sat down on the grass and looked at the starry night sky. It was a perfect stargazing night.

"There's Orion's Belt," You said, pointing to the three stars in a straight line (I don't know much about stars so I hope I got that right). "And over there's the Big Dipper."

Ruv sat and listened to you ramble on about the different constellations, occasionally adding something he knew himself.

"This is nice," you said randomly as you turned to look at him. Ruv took a small breath in, his face going a faint pink.

"Y-Yeah," Ruv replied. "It is."

"Oh! I brought something!" You opened up the bag you brought with you and pulled out a white candle and two containers of food. "I thought it might be nice to have a fancy-ish dinner out here."

Ruv attempted to smile but it just ended up being a flat line across his face; you knew what he was trying to do, though, so you smiled back at him.

As you set up the candlelit dinner, Ruv watched you. For someone who's personality was polar opposite to his, he was attracted to you. You have him this calmness he needed.

"Done!" You exhaled, handing Ruv a container of pasta you had made yourself. He took it and opened it, the smell of the warm noodles hitting his face.

You ate and talked for nearly two more hours. It was probably the best night of your lives.

"Hey, Y/n?" Ruv looked up, a blush on his face.

"Yeah?"

"... I love you."
