The Main One

Pain

          As we chased after Eren we found him outside. He looked frustrated. He looked like a cat when they started hissing. He looked mean. Not gonna lie, it made me a little scared.
"You alright Eren?" I ask.
"Yeah, someone had to say it." He responds.
"Well if your going, i'm going." Armin said with a serious look. He looked determined. But Armin is not really a fighter. He's more of a book smart kid. But he did make it in the top 10 so I cant really say anything.
"No way Armin," Eren says. I can see why he said that. Armin is a skinny boy who never really fought when they were young. Mikasa told me stories about how Armin used to let himself get bullied and Eren used to fight for him no matter how much he lost.
"I'm gonna go as well," Mikasa says.
"Why ruin your chance as a MP y'all. Mikasa you were second out of all of us. No." Eren says.
"You will miss your chance of not dying as much as we will," I say to Armin and Mikasa.
"I stay by Erens side no matter what," Mikasa says. Ah, what made them friends? She wants to be near him every second. Why? "I made a promise to your mother Eren." She continues.
          "Well she's not here," he says mad.
"A lot of people I used to care about aren't here either." She reclaims.
Then we just sit there in silence. Five years ago I lost my parents. The only ones I cared for. The only people I really even knew. I'm gonna find that colossal titan and kill it no matter what. I felt tears come out my eyes. And immediately after the first year fell Eren pushed me into him and hugged me tight. He smelled like nothing. But he knows how I feel. His parents died that day too. Then everything came out. Then Mikasa and Armin joined in the hug as well.
"We stay together. We protect each other. All we need is each other and we'll be fine." Eren said. And we all nodded.

THE NEXT DAY

          "The scouts are back!" I heard someone say while I caught up with Armin, Eren, and Mikasa. They were on the side of the street looking at the scouts. Oh my gosh. I haven't seen them in forever. I look at Eren and he looks happy to see them.
          "Commander Erwin, how was it?" Someone said.
          "Look it's Levi. I heard he's a god at killing titans." This Levi dude seemed annoying at that comment. He's probably been worshipped to much.
          "Hey hey hey," A man with blonde says while walking from across the street to us.
"Mr Hannes!" Eren says.
"Word on the street is that you graduated yesterday. It's either your getting old or the standard has been pushed down." A man who was blonde who seemed really nice. The tone of his voice was like a quiet dog who was friendly to everyone. Was he like a father figure to Eren?
"Oh yeah, like your one to talk. Your never sober." Eren says happily. The tone of Erens voice i've barely heard. Like a soft kitten who had been born after a couple of weeks whos happy and always wanting to play. Made me feel comfortable.
"Watch it." Hannes says plucking Eren softly. Listen I know this is coming out the blue, but I am still not over your moms death." Hannes voice changed. To a sad puppy who has just been hurt. What happened to Erens mother ?
"Same here. It wasn't your fault. So don't blame yourself. We will soon be able to avenge her. We know what we're dealing with now." Erens voice also changed. He sounded angry. I don't blame him though.
          "That reminds me. Who's Suleika Akerman?" Hannes asks.
          "That would be me sir," I say. What does he need me for.
          "I used to see you in Wall Maria all the time. How come I never knew you?" He says.
          "Well I used to stay inside a lot." I say pushing my brown hair back.
          "Congrats on making it to number 1. Must of been hard. But Eren and Suleika. Go to top of the wall by the entrance. Your needed to help set up the cannons."
          "Thank you." I say while me and Eren start running to the wall.
          A couple of minutes of running and going up the wall with our ODM gear we make it. Looking over the wall, the sky is beautiful. Nice pretty blue with a little bit of clouds. And looking in the direction where my home used to be. The grass looked so peaceful in the ground, flowing side to side because of the wind. I could barely see the wall. Just over that wall all the way over there I was helping my mom do the dirty clothes by hanging it up. Damn. 5 years ago my parents died. Even the thought of it still shocks me till this day. The wall was a bright light brown. I don't know if it's made out of bricks or stone but it kept us safe.
          "Your joining the scouts?" Erens says.
          "Yes. It was my decision." Connie says while putting a rock cannon bullet inside the cannon.
          "I think your speech got to her." A girl with short black hair and brown eyes say. I was in the cadet core with them for 3 years and I still don't
know they're names. That's sad.
          "He's not the only one," the same boy who told us that we're crazy for wanting to join the scouts told us.
          "Hey look, your famous now." I said laughing.
          "I-" Eren was cut off by Sasha.
          "I just totally helped myself out in the MPs pantry," she says pulling out a big piece of cooked meat.
"Your gonna get yourself in trouble! There hasn't been any good meat since 5 years ago!" The black haired girl says.
"But think about the sandwiches with this meat. It's gonna taste so good!" Sasha proclaims while putting the meat in a bag on the walls floor. She's a fatass. But I cant blame her. But I smiled.
"I want a sandwich please," Marco says.
"If he's getting one, I want one too," Connie comes from behind Marco and says.
"Me three. I heard meat is good. I've never had it!" I say. Because i've never tried any meat. My family has been poor all my life so all I ate was bread and water.
"You've never had any meat?" Connie asks.
"Yeah I want to-" I was cut off.
The same yellow colored lightning happened all over again. I turn my head to the outside wall and there it was. The one I was trained to kill. The one I wanted to kill for 5 years.
BOOM
There was a big pound in the wall and super hot steam that pushed all of us off the wall. Connies ODM gear hit my head and knocked me out for a quick second but I managed to catch my balance and hang on to the side of the wall with my ODM gear.
"IS EVERYONE OKAY!?" Eren yells. I look down and see one of Sashas ODM gear lines in someone's leg. Then I looked at the entrance of the wall. I stare at it in fear. There was a hole in the wall. A HOLE IN THE WALL. It's 5 years all over again.
"SULEIKA. THIS IS THE MOMENT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR, FOR FIVE YEARS." Eren says. He's right. Why am I afraid. I have always wanted to kill this titan for the past 5 years. "Time to get revenge on our parents death." Eren says angry.
We both use our ODM gear to bring us up to the top of the wall. And we look him dead in the eyes.
"It's been a while," Eren says.
