The rain beat heavily against the window pane, the wind smashing tree limbs against the side of the house. The young girl looked up from her laptop to her doorway. She was home alone that night, her parents on a date night and her older brother, who was supposed to be looking after her, had decided to sneak out to be with his girlfriend.
Lucy sighed and snapped shut her laptop, leaning over to put it on her nightstand. She went over to the window, sliding shut the curtain before plugging her iPod into the docking station and dancing over to her closet to change into her pyjamas. She slid the singlet over her, before turning to grab her slippers. She froze as she was suddenly hit with a spray of water, her curtains billowing across the room. She shivered as she rushed over to close her window, not noticing the now towering shadow in her room.
She slid down the pane and looked up quickly as the lights flickered. She took a sharp intake of breath and turned around slowly to face a person..she looked up fearfully at where its face is. Was. Would be....
"Oh god..." She whimpered.
"Who is Selena Dirnamm?" The being growled. It chuckled manically and stepped closer to her, pushing her up against her window. Her eyes widened and she turned her face to the side, closing her eyes.
"I said!" It sang, "Who is Selena Dirnamm?"
Lucy screamed as a knife was shoved in deeply into her gut. She clutched at the being's shoulders as it drove the knife up her stomach, chest and straight through her neck. The young girl garbled, blood staining the being's suit and staining the ground around them.
It dropped the girl's body, and tilted it's head sideways.
"Who is Selena Dirnamm."

Selena attempted to brush out her knotted hair as she stumbled down the stairs to her kitchen. She bit down on the hair band in her mouth as she tucked her hair brush under her armpit and attempted to put toast in the toaster. A chuckle was heard behind her and she rolled her eyes as her older sister, Danica, grabbed the bread out of her hand and put it in.
"How would you function without me Selley," Danica rubbed at Selena's head affectionately before yawning and walking over to the refrigerator. "Want some orange juice?"
Selena looked at the short brunette and smiled affectionately. "Sure why not, nothing like some good ol' OJ in the morn."
Danica chuckled and grabbed two mugs from the cabinet behind her, filling it to the brim and handing one to Selena. To some people who'd jus meet them would never have guessed they were related, Danica, at 22 years old, was just over 4 feet with light brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. Completely opposite to her almost 6 foot, raven haired blue eyed 17 year old sister.
The quiet moment was however ruined as a phone rang shrilly throughout the two story house. Danica held up a finger to Selena and rushed upstairs to answer. Selena looked down at her uniform and sighed. That weekend it would be the seventh anniversary of their parent's murder. It was the same every year, they would go up to the cemetery with a bunch of flowers and shed tears, though in Selena's case, stare blankly at the stones in front of her and question everything. Out of everyone in that family, it was young Selena who was bound to a chair and forced to watch as her parents were sickenly tortured. At first she had cried and screamed, forcing against the ropes and cutting her skin with the stinging fibre but she soon began to give up. She grew quieter and quieter until she sat silently, staring with wide eyes as the men in suits sliced open and skinned her parents. Selena shook her head and sipped at the mug, closing her eyes tightly to shut out the vivid pictures.
"Selena," Danica whispered. Selena looked up to see her sister in the kitchen doorway, her face flushed and tightly gripping the phone in her hand. She walked over to her sister and pried the phone out of her hand.
"What's wrong? What is it?" Selena took Danica's shoulders and forced her to look at her. "Tell me."
"It's...it's Lucy, Brandon's sister she," Danica swallowed heavily and breathed out, running a hand through her hair. "She was murdered last night, cut up in her own bedroom." Danica covered her mouth and held back tears. "God whoever killed her, took out her...her organs, they weren't found at the scene and..."
Selena tilted her head to the side, a curious gaze on her face. She bent down and hugged her sister, breathing in her vanilla hair smell.
"Oh god Selley, there's someone out there, someone who could...who could...I just don't want anything to happen to you," Danica pressed closer to her sister and sobbed into her jumper, squeezing the life out of the poor teenager. Selena, becoming uncomfortable, pulled back and looked at the fully grown woman.
"I'll be fine, besides I won't be if I stay any longer. I got to get to school," Selena smiled and lightly punched her sister in the shoulder before walking past her, her toast long forgotten.
"Uh uh uh! I'm giving you a lift to school, with this creep out and all," Danica grabbed her car keys and tightened her robe, following Selena out the front door.

Selena shut her locker door and turned around, the tell tale signs of the death walking down every hall. People with red eyes from crying, black ribbons in their hair and solemn faces walked down every corridor. She bit her lip, and shifted her books from one arm to the other before walking to her English class. She was almost to the door when she got shoved against the wall, her books scattering to the ground.
"You!" She shrank against the wall as Brandon's alcohol infested breath was shoved in her face. "It was you wasn't it you little freak, huh? You killed her! You killed my sister you skank!" He spat in her face.
"Can't feel emotions so what, you decided to go and butcher up people? Huh? Did you? Wanna get closer to mummy and daddy, here's a little tip - you should butcher yourself up! You'd look just like them!"
Selena didn't know she was crying until he ran his hand over her face, laughing. "You crazy bitch-"
"What is going on?" Everyone turned to see Mrs Fairchild and Dimitri standing just down the hallway. Brandon pushed himself away from Selena, who held her fingertips to her mouth and slid down the wall, the tears flowing freely.
"Nothing ma'am," Brandon cleared his throat, "just a confrontation."
"Well I suggest you go to you class now Mr Dolittle before you accuse the football team of genocide," Mrs Fairchild glared at him from over her half-moon spectacles. "Now, all of you."
Brandon glared at the teacher before turning to Selena, who stared up at him with wide eyes, her hands covering her mouth and tears pouring down her cheeks. "Take your stupid note back, freak." He threw a crumpled piece of paper at her and stalked off down the hall. Soon enough the entire hallway was completely empty besides Dimitri, Selena and Mrs Fairchild.
Dimitri walked over quickly and kneeled beside Selena, who was still twitching with the sobs like tremors that ran through her, her body curled in on itself.
"Hey, hey it's okay," Dimitri put an arm around her shoulders and rocked her against him, rubbing her back soothingly. The French teacher looked upon the scene and smiled, before walking down the hallway back to her classroom.
Selena sniffled and looked up at him, wiping her nose with the sleeve of her jumper. "Selena."
"Pardon?" He looked at her, confused.
"Call me Selena, please." She blinked at him and he grinned, squeezing her to his side.
"See? I knew I'd get somewhere with you," he playfully punched her shoulder and she chuckled.
"Speaking of getting somewhere, we're late for English class," she grinned up at him.
"Shit."
