Grissom's office

Grissom is looking at some papers on his desk. In walks a woman. He looks up.

Blaine: Dr. Grissom, (walking to his desk and extending hand) I'm Blaine Morgan.

Grissom: (shaking her hand) Agent Morgan, I have been expecting you. (gesturing to a chair) Would you like to have a seat?

Blaine (sitting): Thank you. I'm sure you have some questions for me, and since I am not sure what my supervisor has told you...

Grissom: Just you are looking for someone and you have reasonable suspicion that he/she is in Las Vegas. What I am unsure about is why you are here, in the lab.

Blaine: I'm guessing so I'll be out of the way. If I am out patrolling, that someone I'm looking for might find out and leave. Don't worry. I won't be in your way. In fact, I might be able to help you. I have a background in

Grissom (interrupting): Deputy Cahill faxed over your resume. Quite impressive.

Blaine (realizing she isn't really wanted): I appreciate your assistance with this situation, Dr. Grissom. If you should need anything from me, please let me know. (she gets up and walks to the door)

Grissom: Agent Morgan? (she turns back to face him) Thank you for the offer. The same offer applies to you.

Blaine (half smiling): Thank you, sir. And, you can call me Blaine. (she leaves)

As she walks down the hall, she passes Greg and Warrick and nods a hello.

Greg (watching her continue down the hall): Who was that?

Warrick: I don't know.

They enter Grissom's office.

Warrick (handing Grissom a file): Here are the results of the ballistics tests.

Grissom (taking the file and reading over the contents): So, where are we? (noticing Greg is not paying attention) Greg?

Greg: Oh, sorry. Still waiting on the DNA results.

Grissom raises his eyebrows

Greg: Yeah, I'll go see how that's coming. (turns towards the door and turns back around) Grissom, who was that woman that just left your office?

Grissom: The results, Greg.

Greg: Yeah, I'm on it. (he leaves)

Warrick (shaking his head and smiling. Looking at Grissom) Who's the Fed?

Grissom: Agent Blaine Morgan. How did you know she is a Fed?

Warrick: I heard some of the officers talking about an agent quote sticking their nose into our business end quote. Why is she over here?

Grissom: Some secret cover thing, I guess. She could come in handy in the lab. But, let me be the one to assign her work.

Warrick: Sure thing.

Hallway

Sara notices Blaine looking around.

Sara: Can I help you?

Blaine: Um, I don't know. My name is Blaine Morgan. I'm here on temporary assignment for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Sara: FBI? Wow. I'm Sara Sidle.

Blaine (putting out hand): Nice to meet you, Sara.

Sara (shakes): Are you assigned to someone specific?
