Chapter 6 Who's Doing This

Quinnsezl wakes up at 7:30

She awakens to see Laurence at her bedside

Laurence: Quinnsezl?

Quinnsezl: Laurence? What are you doing in my house?

Laurence: I decided to check up on you ever since yesterday

Quinnsezl: where's Jay?

Laurence: he went to work an hour ago

Quinnsezl: how did you know about that?

Laurence: he left a note on the refrigerator

Quinnsezl: oh! Okay

Quinnsezl grabs the videotape that she watched and took from the resort club

Laurence: is that a videotape?

Quinnsezl: yes,I watched it last night at that resort club that Cadenza stayed at with her friends

Laurence: you mean...

Quinnsezl: it's cursed,it said whoever watches it will die in 7 days

Laurence: they died by watching it,did they?

Quinnsezl: looks like it

Laurence: who could've done this?

Quinnsezl: I don't know yet,but I think we should talk to Doctor Davidson about this

Laurence: that's fine me,besides I'm just as worried about what happened as much as you are

At 9:00 AM

They go to Doctor Davidson who's at the workout room

Davidson: Quinnsezl? Who's this?

Quinnsezl: this is Laurence Zvahl,he's a friend of mine

Davidson: very well,so Quinnsezl,what happened yesterday?

Quinnsezl: I was trying to find out what happened to Cadenza and her friends,they went to the resort club a week before they died,and it turns out they watched a cursed videotape,I just watched it last night while I was there

Davidson: you mean that the video killed those 4 people?

Quinnsezl: yes sir

Davidson: alright,you don't mind if Laurence and I watch the video at your house right?

Quinnsezl: I don't mind

Davidson: okay,then we need find some clues that are inside the video itself,which might lead to whoever made this

12:30 PM

Doctor Davidson and Laurence watch the cursed videotape until the end

Davidson: so we're involved now,huh?

Davidson: why did those four idiots die?

Quinnsezl: maybe when they watched it,they probably thought it was a joke or something,but I think they watched it by accident

Laurence: there was a family who stayed at that resort club before the other people did,the little kid tried to record a tv show to put it on tape,and when they left,they probably left the videotape there,and then Cadenza and her friends watched that after the family left

Davidson: that's exactly what happened,let me see if I can find anything

Davidson rewinds the video and pauses to see three people standing near a bridge

Davidson: do you know this program?

Quinnsezl: no,I haven't seen that before

Davidson: there's a greasy dude there

Quinnsezl: he looks so familiar that I think I seen him before

Laurence: are you sure?

Quinnsezl: probably,maybe when I was 12 or 13

Davidson: their clothes look out of fashion,probably during the 1950s

Laurence and Quinnsezl see Kaleb coming to the living room

Laurence: Kaleb! Why aren't you in bed?

Kaleb: I couldn't sleep

Laurence: *sigh* it's okay Kaleb,I'll tuck you in and read you a story,is that okay?

Kaleb nods

Laurence: okay,go back to bed please

Laurence: sorry about my baby brother

Quinnsezl: that's alright,besides it was nice of you to let him come with you

Davidson: well anyways,I'll be going home for tonight,call me tomorrow if anything happens,okay?

Quinnsezl: okay Davidson,see you tomorrow

Davidson: you too Quinnsezl

9:30 PM

As Quinnsezl finishes showering,she hears the video playing that she watched at the resort club

She gets out of the shower and puts on a bathrobe

As she enters the living room,she sees Laurence's baby brother Kaleb watching the video as it shows the well

Quinnsezl rushes over to Kaleb and shields him away from the TV

She grabs the remote,turning the TV off

Quinnsezl: why would you watch Kaleb? FOR GOD SAKES WHY WOULD WATCH IT?

Kaleb: Cadenza told me to watch it

Quinnsezl tears up and hugs Kaleb

She hears the telephone ring

She gets angry and upset for a moment

Quinnsezl walks over to the telephone and answers it
