The Proposal

Abhi's POV

I was sitting under the stars, feeling all alone, feeling empty. Thinking about all the memories, the memories that cover a large part of my life, the memories that were wonderful to make but painful to remember.  

I heard the footsteps coming from behind, I didn't care much as I knew they were my friends. Then one of them patted my shoulder and said, "How many years will you be like this? Please come out of your past and make an effort to move on and start a whole, new, beautiful life." I didn't respond to anything, I just closed my eyes and heard everything, yet thinking, if I could go back and do it all over again.

FLASHBACK

Author's POV 

Abhi was sleeping peacefully but it was already so late, so his mom came to his room and started to wake him up. But he didn't wake up,  still lying on the bed, not bothered by what his mom said.

Then suddenly he heard a voice coming from the house downstairs, saying, "Ritu go to the rooftop  and dry the clothes." Then Ritu goes to the rooftop with a bucket full of wet clothes in her hand. Seeing her, Abhi gets up very quickly and follows her to the rooftop.

When she was drying the clothes, few water droplets fell on her face, making the beauty more beautiful. As Abhi was standing close to her few droplets also fell on him making him turn towards her. She looks at him and apologizes. Abhi froze while admiring her beauty, especially her eyes in which he could see his whole world. It felt like time stood still.

Abhi's POV 

They say love makes the world go round, I truly felt it when I looked into your eyes for the first time. It felt like I can go head over heels for you. When I look into your eyes, I know I'll hand over my heart even if you don't ask. 

Author's POV

Ritu observed him staring at her quite a few times, she didn't care to bother much instead, while leaving from the rooftop she bent back giving him a last glance with a cute, short smile which was enough for him to fall for her again...

That Afternoon

Abhi's POV

"Till now there was no such beauty in our colony, from where did this angel appear all of a sudden? How can someone be this pretty? When I mentioned the word 'pretty' all of my friends gathered around me with curiosity to know about her. One of my friends asked, "Who is she? Where did she come from?

Yesterday Night

Abhi's POV

I was playing video games on my mobile, leaning onto the wall which will show me a better view of my city. I suddenly noticed a beautiful girl entering the house downstairs. I thought, "Oh, a new girl in our colony. She is damn pretty, I wonder how pretty she will be if I see her a bit closer, I hope our love story will start soon.."

Present time, in the afternoon

Abhi's POV

OK, so her name is Ritu, she came here for her summer holidays and will stay here for 3 months. She's pretty and finally one last thing,        she...is...your...sister

Author's POV 

All his friends heard everything he said with enthusiasm until he mentions, she is their "SISTER". One of his friends asked him, "Do you love her?" Then Abhi replied, "When you see a girl for the first time and wish to see her again and again, I think it is called love. And for me, I guess it is love at first sight." Then my friend asked me why don't I go and propose her. I just thought about it, "Why don't I give it a shot?"

Evening 5'o clock

Author's POV

Abhi waits for Ritu on the terrace expecting her to come to the rooftop at this time.

Friend- How do you know that she will come to the rooftop at this hour?

Abhi- If she dry the clothes in the morning, then definitely she will come to take them back right. 

Friend- oh, right!

Then Ritu came to the rooftop and observed Abhi there. She didn't react much, she just kept a normal expression. She observed Abhi walking towards her, and he said-

Abhi's POV

I walked towards Ritu and said, "Is it possible to meet someone once, and see entire future in their eyes? I didn't know someone's eyes can be this fascinating that it can stop my breath whenever I look into them. I didn't know someone like you existed who can stop my heartbeat and make it beat much faster at the same time. The world suddenly seemed stopped when I looked at you.Even though we just met once, I cannot get you out of my mind. I didn't know how to propose but I also didn't know it would be this beautiful if I propose." 

Author's POV

Ritu was stunned to hear what Abhi said. She didn't know what to say and the same time she also didn't know why her heart  was beating this fast. She looked all confused with mixed emotions in her heart. She didn't know what was this feeling. 

Before she could respond anything, Abhi looked at his friend ,who was already shocked with what Abhi just did, and said...

"Dude, this is how you should propose a girl"
