I stepped off the plane and spotted my Aunt. She had always been very quirky. This time, her hair was purple and in a spikey pixy cut. She wore ripped up jeans with paint splashed on them and a t-shirt with some old american band.
"Amanda! You look gorgeous! How was the flight?" She asked happily. This whole new-name thing was defiantly going to take a while to get used to. "It was good, thank you." I responded politely.
A woman, about my aunt's age scurried over to us. "Oh me oh my! You must be that lil'darlin' Manda! Your auntie talks about you so often i feel like i outta remind her that she has daughters of her own."
Thats when a handsome boy with a plaid shirt, jeans, and cowboy boots steps out towards the lady," Ma? What is taking y'all so long? I gotta football game to get to. Let's hurry it up!"
The lady igores him and turns back to me, "Awe sugar, dontcha worry bout that lil grouch for a moment. His name be Tucker by the way. He be upset at tha moment. My name is Delilah but people call me peaches. Pleasure to meet cha!"
And then, walked out Ashley from the bathroom. She was holding a cell phone and sipping some iced coffee. "Hey cuz! Whats up? Welcome to the boring land of Virginia."
"Where are your sister's?" i asked curiously.
"MOM! I TOLD YOU SHE WOULD ASK ABOUT THEM!" Ashley said, leaning her head into Tucker and sobbing.
"Shh baby girl, they be in heaven. They gonna be alright sweety," Tucker whispered into Ashley's ear.
"Amanda, your cousins and I were in a carcrash. Only Ashley and I survived. We were gonna tell you but then the war began..." she stammered, clearly heartbroken.
Ashley wiped her tears smudging a bit of her makeup. Tucker wrapped his arms about her waist. And kissed her head.
"I must look a mess oh my goodness!" Ashley wailed.
"Baby girl ur perfection! I promise." Tucker said smiling.
My aunt just rolled her eyes and Delilah grabbed my bag for me. They all began scurrying down the hall towards my future.
