"It shouldn't be this nerve wracking, Saff. It's just.. another school year.. right?" The short girl looks towards her small grey cat, who mewed in response. Jamie grins, taking that as a yes. "Thanks Saff, you always know what to say to make someone feel great."
Saffron rolls over, sticking her legs in the air and mewing once more. Jamie Scott, a descendant of Albus Dumbledore, had lived in Hogwarts for years. She had a room in, what she named, the tallest tower, in which she loved pretending she was Rapunzel. Jamie was well aware of the fact that the Astronomy tower was actually the highest building in the Hogwarts Castle, but she did a lot to make herself feel better.
She threw on her sweater, marked with a big 'J' on the front, and small letters underlining it (E-N-N-A). Hastily, she flew out of her room, speeding down to the first floor- that is, until she froze and realised a part of her body was unusually sore and cold.
Jamie had forgotten her shoes. Again. She groans, putting her face in her hands. "CRACKERS! Every time, every time." She mutters, beginning to contemplate whether or not she should go back and possibly miss the sorting, or carry on and have icicles for feet.
Because this was Jamie, she unsurprisingly took the second option and bustled off again. The Castle was littered with torches, which flickered humbly in the presence of the young witch. She grinned in response, happily ambling towards her destination.
"There it is," She muttered to herself, stopping and rubbing her hands together, "There's the door. It's right there. In my line of sight."
She positioned herself like an Olympic runner, and shook out her arms. "Jamie Scott, world renowned muggle runner, is about to run a whopping 5 metres! Will she make it?" She announces in a strained deep voice, considering her own was a little high.
Jamie took a deep breath....
Three..
Two...
One......................
"Sha boo ya, Sha sha boo ya, roll call!" She begins strutting towards the door, booty-bumping it to open. Of course, this did not work, because the doors are locked.
"Ow, my booty." Jamie cries, pouting. "How rude." She sticks her nose in the air, opening the door normally.
"Ow, my finger. This door is dangerous." Jamie chuckles, dusting her jeans off. As soon as she looks up, she pauses.
"What a terrifying surprise.. Hi!"
"Students, that is my granddaughter. Jamie Scott," Dumbledore started, "Hufflepuff."
"Hello!" Jamie said again, "Pleasure to meet you all."
