Chapter 3-1

For the past few weeks I've been walking Nolan home and he always give me hugs. "Umm Sage? My parents are going to be gone for the weekend... do you wanna come over?" Nolan asks smiling, "Is it okay with your parents?" I asked, "They said It's fine... as long as they're not reckless" said Nolan. I was a little skeptical about it but the look on his was showing that he really want me to come over, I gulped, "Okay I'll come over" I said, "Really!? Alright!" Nolan says excitedly, "How about tonight?" he asks, "U-umm okay sure I'll come at dusk." I said nervously, "Hehe okay see you then~" he say as he comes in and hugs me, and I hugged him back. We waved to each other as I walk away going home, "He's so cute and adorable... but is he into guys? He acts like a kid for his age and he's really short, maybe I'm just thinking about it too much but I won't let my guard down we're just friends." I say as I arrive to my porch and entering my home.

A few hours later, the sun was setting and the sky was changing, I arrived to Nolan's house, I knock on the door, "Coming!" said Nolan as he opens the door but for some odd reason there was a weird sweet sent that I had never smelled before, "Hey do you smell that?" I asked, "Smell what?" he replied looking confused, "N-never mind maybe it was the wind haha" I chuckle as I enter, "Okay... want anything to drink?" he asked, "Just some water please" I said, I sat on the couch waiting for Nolan but I can still smell that sweet sent, I couldn't identify what smell it was, it doesn't like flowers, candy, or clean laundry, its so unknown but out of nowhere that smell stared to turn me on as I blush, I didn't want to think about pervy things so I decided to act natural and play it off hoping it'll go away. "I'm back, here you go" Nolan says as he hands me the glass of water and sits next to me, " Thank you" I say as I take a large sip.

"So Nolan how long have you and your family lived here?" I asked, "Well... we moved here in early spring so not that long" He said, "Ahh okay where are you from?" I asked, "I'm from a small town in Wisconsin where I was born and raised until my mom got remarried and had to move because of my step-father's job... I miss my friends" Nolan says sadly and looks down tearing up, "Hey hey, it's okay" I say as I scoot over to comfort him, "Ever since I got here its been hard to make friends, those bullies would pick on me every week, they beat on me, call me names, and take my belongings, I-I wanna go back home!" He cries with a face full of tears, "Nolan listen to me I know it's hard moving to a new place and making new friends you just have to be patient and take your time and those bullies you don't have to worry about them anymore I'll protect you from now on and I will never let anything happen to you." I say as I hold his hand gently, he looks at me blushing with tears in his eyes and lays his head on my chest, "Thank you Sage" he says with a sniff.
