"Have you heard? He made someone go bankrupt again and this time it's a whole ass company!"

"For real? Didn't he just beat the son of a small company?"

"Yeah. Apparently, his father got word from his son and tried to avenge him. Didn't go well."

"Thank god we're just average. He would definitely be the nightmare of many rich people."

The talk between the two students didn't go past you. You've recently just entered a prestigious school that's famous for housing many talents. Numerous famous people came from here, whether it's a scientist, politician, painter, or even president.

Because of that, rich people would often enroll their children here to study. The high tuition fees made it extremely hard for commoners to study here. Their options were either to get a scholarship or not at all.

Though scholarships exist, the number of students who got it could only be counted by hand. Commoners would be treated as if they were some kind of rare relic and often would be bullied by the rich students. The bullying here isn't your typical childish bully who fills your locker with trash or occasional nicknames.

No, it's worse.

They would go as far as letting blood fall down your face, making you go buy drugs for them, and they would get away with it every time.

Why? Because the teachers here don't want to mess with the parents.

A senior once told you about a teacher who defended her student and called the bully's parents. They surprisingly received it very well and apologized to the student who got bullied. But after that day, the teacher was fired for no reason. No one heard from her ever again.

The bullying continued until he came.

Terrance Benton

A scholarship student who took over the school like a storm.

The school has a unique hierarchy system where the top would be decided with gambling. If you are lucky with cards, you'd be guaranteed to be on the top. A system that seems to be welcoming for all backgrounds, until you see the cheaters.

Terrance, though, was able to bypass those cheaters and quickly claimed his way to the number one spot in the food chain. He earned money and became rich in the span of five months and all he had to do was a gamble with stupid rich kids.

Ever since he appeared, the system was flipped over. Rich kids would so often be put into place while the scholarship students get to study in peace. Teachers would punish the bullies with all kinds of punishment to make sure they won't repeat it and also to satisfy their anger towards the rich. He became a hero for them and a villain to the others.

After hearing his stories from various students, you took a mental note to not get involved with him in any way possible. He hates rich people, that would include you. You're the daughter of a politician who is famous for being righteous and hold justice for the people. Wanting to follow in your father's footsteps, you decide to enroll in this school and study hard.

It took you by surprise when you hear the school's condition and rumors during your first day at school. The gambling part was the one that surprised you the most. After all, gambling in school? And it's legal?

You, fortunately, or unfortunately are in the same year as Terrance, the first year in senior year. By this point, he has spent three years in this school and his influence is HUGE. Everyone knows him and fears him. If he sees you messing around with the scholarships student or just doing something wrong, he'll tear you apart in gambling.
