my parents. where are my parents. where is my little brother? where are all of my friends? where are the abbott's? what's happening? a million question run through my mind. my first thought is to try and find food and water, since you can't really survive without that.
i walk for a while, only to find nothing.
"god dammit," i mutter under my breath, so that no noise is heard.
plan b, try and find people. after many hours of walking, all i can find are dead people. everywhere. i gag at the sight of them.
then i have the idea to go back to the town, see if there's anyone there.

marcus' pov

i wonder where y/n is. i miss her. really bad. truth is, i've always had a little something for her. i feel like i've made it too obvious, but i don't know. i just hope she's ok, i have faith in her.

y/n's pov

after looking in the town, i found some food from the market. no people though. it was too empty and quiet. i didn't like it. i decide to go back to the forest, back to the shelter i've made with sticks and leaves.
i've always been pretty creative. i'm good with survival things.

one year later...

i walk a little longer, to find an open field with a corn maze, and a building behind it. i wonder if i should walk over to the building. i start to walk over but have some second thoughts, but i can feel it in my gut, i have to.

marcus' pov

my mother instructed me to go try and find some food. i didn't want to, but i knew ever since father died, i guess i'm the man of the house. i walk along the pathway and see something.
"is that a person??" no it can't be. i'm seeing things.
i continue to walk, not thinking anything of it much. i look up and see the figure is closer now. holy crap. it is a human.

y/n's pov

i finally start to see what looks like another person. they had curly hair. i was trying to think of who i knew had curly hair. then it it hit me. marcus. there was no way it was marcus. i start to walk closer, and realize that i see his blue sweater he always used to wear. he looks up at me for a second, looks down, then realizes what he saw.
he signs, "y/n..?"
i sign back
"marcus..."
he runs up to me putting his hands around my waist and pulls me in tightly for a hug.
"c'mon, let's get you back inside my house," he tells me.
i walk with him while his arm is around my shoulder.
