Chapter 3 : " the painful truth"

( Sowon's POV )

Another bad day to pass through. Until I graduated from this school, that's mean I have to endure his face. It's okayy. I'm willing to be bullied by him everyday as long as I can stay by Kris's side. If only he understands how much I love him. But he never was.

*at the school*

"so, where are you going today? Mall? Library? Or playground? ," asked Wendy.

" I think I just want to go home and rest," replied Sowon.

"But i'm bored. My parents are going to Russia for 3 days, I don't have any friends to play with. Don't you feel pity at me? Please???~~ " pleaded Wendy while doing some aegyo.

" uhhh.. Okayy." Sowon give in.

"Hahhhh?? Jinjja? Yeheayyy~," squeal Wendy while doing a funny derp face. She knows Sowon weakness so much. She always get what her want when doing an aegyo.

" But WAITTT!! I forgot my mom's keychain," thought Sowon. The keychain is the only things that connecting Sowon and her mother after her parents are divorced.

"AHHH~~ paboyaa Sowon! Sowon pabo! How can I lost something important like that?! ," mad Sowon while slapping her own face.

She climbs up the stairs quickly. " I think I lost it at the rooftop when I was studying with SinB," said Sowon.

Without hesitated she opened the rooftop door. Suddenly, she hearded a voice of someone mumbling. She walks in forward to find out.

As she steps in, she saw someone was trying to commit a suicide. He's trying to jump from the rooftop.

"Yahhh??!! WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO? Hajima! NOOOO!! ," shouted Sowon.

She quickly grab the boy's hand. She used all of her strength to lift him up.  She was shocked as she knew the guy.

"K..K..KAI.., but why?" asked Sowon.

" Let me off , I can't endure it anymore ," said Kai while pushing Sowon's hand away.

" No, I won't let you go ," said Sowon while grabbing his hand tighter.

" You don't understand.. " said Kai bursting into tears.

" So what? Your problem won't be settled by doing this , " advised Sowon.

As she managed to save him up, Sowon attemped to calm him down.

" Why are you doing this? " asked Sowon.

" It's none of your business ," replied Kai firm.

" But you are a happy and cheerful guy, I mean why are you being like this in sudden? " asked Sowon.

Kai didn't answer the question. He lost all of his strenght until his knee fell into the floor. Suddenly, he burst into tears. A guy who always acted cool suddenly burst into tears. Sowon's eyes are wide-open as big as pingpong ball while watching him crying.

" Go away,"
"WHAT?"
"I said GO AWAY!"
"lol doesn't your parents teach you how to say thank you? ,"
"YES THEY DON'T! They never cared about me, no one care"

Kai leans his head against the wall. He looks so terrible. What is he trying to say?

" I don't understand what are you trying to say. But what I know is, if you think that no one cares about you, YOU ARE WRONG. ," said Sowon firmer this time.

"what are you talking about? You doesn't even know me," said Kai trying to quibble.

"you're lucky because you had a lot of friends around you, A FRIEND WHO LOVES YOU. Please appreciate them while they're here, by your side, don't wait until they're GONE. " explained Sowon.

Kai covered his face using a pairs of his big hands. He kept his problems to himself for a long time. He also confused why, and how he could shared all of his problems with Sowon, the con-artist that he hates the most.

" I.. I don't know," a hoarse voice of Kai hearded as he was trying to hold back his tears.

" I mean you know, it's quiet embrassing for a boy to cry in front of a girl," said Kai which making Sowon chuckled.

" yaaa..don't laugh! ," warned Kai. Sowon quickly understand the situation and making a symbol " I promise I won't laugh"
at her lips.

" my father asked me to study business. He wants me to take over his business. But yeahh~ it just that I don't like anything about corporate or business things, that's all. Why can't he understand me?," Kai started his story.

" why don't you explained it calmly to your father. Yeahh, maybe he will be mad at the first, but I guess soon or later he can accepted it," suggested Sowon.

" it's because you didn't know who my father really is, he would never accepted a musician or a singer to be his son. All this time, I try to act strong, but now, I CAN'T. How do you feels when your own father called you as 'idiot'?!" suddenly his eyes looks watery. He must endure a lot of pains for a long time.

Sowon try to relax the situation. She moves her body closer towards Kai. Suddenly she saw Kai's hand was injured.

" Ouch! Your hand are bleeding, you must have collide into something during the incident just now," concerned Sowon.

She quickly took a Doraemon plaster from her pocket. She put some dettol to kill the bacteria at the wound and covered it by using the Doraemon plaster.

" what do you think you're doing? I am the college's football captain, DORAEMON PLASTER?! ," Kai raised his voice a little.

"what? i just helping you to cover the wound. Who asked you to call me for help? hmmphh!," defend Sowon while rolling her eyes.

"who asked you to help me? Plus, I thought you hates me so much, why are you helping me now? You should just let me die. Can you tell me the reason?! ," Kai closer his face towards Sowon's face.

"Yes! Of course I hate you so much! It just because..because.. I..I..," Sowon can't answered the question because her heart are beating too fast. Her face becomes red. Suddenly her phone vibrates.

" 1 new message from Wendy "

"Oh No! Wendy! I forgot about her! Otteohke?! Ahhh~~ " panicked Sowon. She quickly read the message sent by Wendy.

" huh! If you didn't want to play with me you can just say so. At least, you don't have to make me wait for you for half an hour! Lol my mom had arrived so I go home first. Take care of yourself, bye :) "

" I guess i'm totally dead now. How am I going to explains this to Wendy?," frusted Sowon.

"I'm sorry, but I really have to go now," said Sowon while packing up her stuff.

"WAITT!"

Sowon's steps stopped. She turns her head and look at the back.

"You didn't introduced yourself before. So you won't tell me again this time? At least, tell me your name? Or phone number, MAYBE?" said Kai with an naughty evil smirked.

"My name is Kim So Jung. You can call me Sowon. I am 20 years old. My phone number? You have to find it by yourself," smiled Sowon trying to play hard.

Kai was smiling himself. He didn't know what's got into him but he feels like he had a new spirit to stay alive. A spirit called, LOVE.
