Discussion: Holmes is a Pretender Class Servant.

Theres been a lot of sus on Holmes since lb2 with Sigurd first mentioning that hes not a pure Heroic Spirit. Then in LB5 Goetia says someone within chaldea cannot be trusted. In addition this, in LB 5.5 Heiankyo, it is revealed that he is the natural enemy of Koyanskaya: another beast class.

Finally, in LB6 we are shown that the Pretender class card is originally a Ruler card before it reveals itself.

Pretenders are summoned to destroy the world. In the case of Oberon, he was summoned to by Britain (Cernunnos) itself to end its suffering. This is because Pretender Class servants are specifically Anti-Heroic Spirits. Where Heroic Spirits are summoned by the world to save it, Pretenders are summoned to do the opposite.

Sherlock Holmes has no reason for being a ruler class. If anything, he's more adapted to being a Caster as he has stated this before during Camelot and during Shinjuku.

All in all, Holmes is pretty sus. Expect him to betray Chaldea during Lostbelt 7.
