"you're telling me that you're sharing a room with the boruto uzumaki?" sumire asked sarada in shock. the dark haired uchiha nodded her head, and let out a sigh. "do you know how lucky you are? girls would kill to be in your position sarada." sumire squealed, placing a hand on sarada's wrist.

"sumire, i think you know me well enough to know that i have no interest in him." sarada groaned, her face scrunched. sumire shook her head, agreeing. "i don't know what you see in him personally. he's every other average high school boy." sarada continued, glancing toward a sweets shop.

even though sarada wasn't the happiest to have to share a house with the ultimate boy of her high school, she was still grateful they even took her in. maybe on sunday she'd stop by the sweets shop and bring home some cookies. she made a mental note to ask her mother about what the family likes most.

"he's so kind, sarada! he's probably the reason i even stayed here after the whole stalker situation, you know." sumire reminded sarada for the 19th time this week. it was starting to get on the youngest uchiha's nerves. boruto uzumaki this, boruto uzumaki that.

"and i'm not the reason?" sarada said, playfully acting shocked. the two girls let out a small laughter among themselves, as sumire pulled sarada into a clothing shop.

i do wonder though.. what's this boruto uzumaki like? sarada thought to herself, checking out a maroon dress.

the morning of the move in

sarada put on a pair of black sweatpants, followed by a white tank top. she was exhausted, as she forced herself to wake up at 8:00 am. she pre-ordered the cookies, as her mother secretly told her what each member of the uzumaki household liked.

she was going to miss her room. this was where she'd study every night, and everytime she was proud of herself she'd flop on her bed, cradling her giant teddy bear that her father got her for her 6th birthday.

everytime her parents weren't home for a special occasion and she was still with her grandma, they both would read books in her small library, or her grandma would tell her stories about her parents. she loved her grandma with all her heart, which her passing had affected sarada a lot.

"cha! let's get these in the boxes."  sarada told herself. she was grabbing her stuffed animals, throwing them into boxes. right as she was starting to get into the rhythm of putting her things in boxes, she heard footsteps going up the stairs.

what? is mama back home? sarada questioned silently. is it a robber? she didn't have anything they'd want, now that her valuable items were in boxes. she heard the footsteps walking around, until it reached her room. the uchiha princess grabbed a pencil, the only thing she knew could somewhat save her.

the doorknob twisted, as a sleepy boruto uzumaki entered her room.

"AH!" the pair yelled in unison. boruto yelled, seeing the girl with a pencil aimed at him. sarada yelled, seeing the boy everyone adored in her room. sarada had to admit, he was slightly attractive. he was tall, he had messy blonde hair, his small chuckle. but he was too loud and disturbing, so sarada would never have more than a tiny interest in the uzumaki boy.

"geez, dattebasa. it's 8 and i'm already getting shot by a pencil." he groaned slightly. sarada rolled her eyes, trying not to get annoyed by him. what's this charm that sumire sees in him anyways? "sorry, just trying to lighten up the mood. kinda." he sheepishly apologized.
