Based on other stories, Apolaki and his sister sibling was one of the many children of Bathala ( the god of Heavens and Earth ) with a mortal woman. He who has the eyes of the bright shining sun. He who is the symbol of the sun was loved dearly by people including warriors. When Bathala died he and his siblings fought over the throne. Not until he made his sister blind on one eye. The sister who represents the moon and beauty. Apolaki deeply regretted it and gave the throne to those who are worthy.
