Chapter 3: Midnight

His lips were on mine. Kissing me. At midnight.

He pulled away and looked at me with apoligetic eyes.

"I-im sorry!" he says.

what does happened. was it really him? Robert?

"Robert, I...." then I was cut off by Shelby tugging at my arm and pulling me upstairs to the guest room. how does she even know where it is? well I guess we should never underestimate the power of a mahomie.

"You and Robert?!?!?!? Nuh uh??" she says with a big smile.

"No! I don't like him like that! I mean I love the kid but he's like my brother! I have no idea why he just did that! oh my God, no!" I say. I'm still shocked.

"wait! what? he just kissed you out of the blue?"

"yes! we were having such a great day and that happened."

she opened her mouth like she was going to continue but then she was interrupted by a knock on the door. we looked at each and kept quiet.

"Izzy? I really need to talk to you!" it was Robert.

"well I'm going to leave you two alone. looks like you need to have your grown up fun time!"

"Shelby!! this is not the time for jokes!" I scold and pinch her.

she walks out of the room and Robert walks in.

"uh... hey!" he says.

"hello!"

"look, I'm so sorry for what just happened! it was one of those in the moment things! I..."

I cut him off. "Robert, its fine. but why?"

"I um, uh I.... look! I like you...a lot."

"oh, uh. I don't really know what to say."

"I know we only met but lets pretend it's love!"

okay Girl rule number one. when a Guy starts to quote one direction, you're in a bad situation.

"Robert, I'm sorry but I like someone else, I..." my voice trails off. I feel really bad.

"Who?" He asks with sad eyes.

"Um..."

"Izzy you can tell me. I promise not to tell anyone!"

I won't tell him. It would tear him apart for me to tell him that I really like one if his best friends.

"It's Alex isn't it?"

Crap.

"Um..." What am I supposed to say??

"I knew it." He whispered.

"Robert I'm sorry."

"It's fine izzy! You can't help it." He says with a shy smile.

"Thanks!" I say and pull him in for a hug. I have a feeling he's going to be in my life for a really long time!

"Come on. Lets go back downstairs!" I say.

We walk downstairs and in the corner of my eye I see a familiar Trukfit hat with the one and only cheetah jacket. Oh my gosh!

"I-is that a-Austin?" I ask Robert.

"Oh yeah! He was supposed to come over today!"

I started freaking out. Then I remembered Shelby would probably have a heart attack if she realized he was here.
