Chapter 1

No one's pov

little tanjiro was walking in a place filled with cats. "where am I?" asked tanjiro.

"what is this place?"

"where is everyone?"

tears can be seen on the side of his eyes as he looked down, till a paw came, tanjiro looked up as he saw a big cat.

"are you lost?" the cat asked.

Tanjiro stared at the cat as his senses started to come back.

"tanjiro" a woman spoke

"could you tell your father you want to live with me?" the woman continues.

"we can be together every day" the woman continues again.

tanjiro focused on catching fish more then listening.

"he's going to marry her, right?" the woman spoke again.

"maybe. She's already living with us" tanjiro answered as he tried to catch a fish but failed.

"oh man", "not a single fish" some people that were watching him laughed.

"you're all so selfish" said tanjiro as he stood up.

"tanjiro..." the woman said in a worried tone.

"I don't blame you. You have every reason to be angry!" the woman exclaimed still with a worried tone.

"but there are just some things you won't understand until you're older--"

"then stop telling me things I don't understand!" tanjiro snapped and ran away.

"tanjiro! wait!"

tanjiro continued to run, completely ignoring the worried woman.

It was starting to rain as tanjiro walked.

"I hate this" tanjiro whispered.

"I hate this stupid world"

"I hope the world ends soon"

tanjiro stopped walking as he looked up and saw the same cat he saw in his thoughts.

"masks?" tanjiro questions as he sees some maks hanging.

"welcome. Do you want to try one on?" asked the mysterious cat.

[some time skip]

tanjiro runs to school calling out his best friend. "genya!"

"morning!"

"oh, hey. What is it?" genya asked as tanjiro was circling around him.

"grumpy as usual, I see!" tanjiro exclaimed.

"but handsome as always!" tanjiro continues.

"what are you talking about?" asked genya.

tanjiro proceeds to smile wider as he saw someone.

"what's the matter?"

"sorry! take care of my bag!" tanjiro said as he puts his bag on genya's arm.

"you really shouldn't--"

tanjiro then takes off his shoes, silently running to someone.

"my older brother is awful" the boy said while taking to his friend.

"oh yeah. Really?" asked his friend.

the boy then looks back to see tanjiro jumping to him making him drop his bag.

the boy sighs and proceeds to take his bag from the ground.

"I did it!"

"zenitsu sunrise...attack!" tanjiro exclaims as he smack his butt.

"seriously, knock it off" zenitsu said with an annoyed tone as he continued to walk to the school.

"it's an expression of love!"

genya hits his head with his bag.

"zenitsu, wait!"

zenitsu continues to walk to class completely ignoring the burgundy haired boy.

"wait up, zenitsu! zenitsu!"

"I can't wait"

tanjiro then falls to the floor "that was unbelievably sexy!"

"did you hear that? He said, 'I can't wait.' That sounded so suggestive!"

"like, 'can I kiss you?' 'wait!' 'I can't wait.'" tanjiro continues as genya lifts him up from the floor.

"and then our eyes met! It was crazy!" some girl said sharing a story to her friends.

"morning!"

"what?! that's awesome!"

"and then what happened?"

"that's it, unfortunately"

just some students chatting.

"I got to hear zenitsu's sexy voice" tanjiro said to genya while walking to class.

"I can die happy right now. You get it, right?"

"not one bit"

"zenitsu, you should be nicer to muge" inosuke spoke.

"I agree"

"you should whisper in his ear..."

"ignore them" genya says as tanjiro pouts angrily.

"with that sexy voice of yours and--"

the other boy was cut off by tanjiro as he hits him with bag, while inosuke steps back to avoid getting hit.

"that hurt! what's your problem?"

"shut up! zip it! stuff it! shut up, shut up!" tanjiro exclaimed.

while going in the classroom through the window.

"hey zenitsu! let me record your voice on my phone!"

"I'll listen to it before I sleep. My dreams will be amazing!" tanjiro says while running to his seat.

"no wonder everyone calls him 'sunshine forhead' he's always happy not mention his hard forhead (a/n: I changed the muge to sunshine forhead)" murata states.

" 'I can't wait.' he actually said that!" tanjiro squeals as he falls off his chair.

[some time skip]

*a conversation with tanjiro and genya*

"this is just sad" genya spoked.

"what is?"

"he clearly isn't interested, but you won't give up, it's depressing."

"I see. But still...no other boy is as close to him as I am. That means I'm special right?"

"you're speaking like a true stalker"

"tell me. Why is it zenitsu?"

"he used to give you signals to back off. Now he just ignores you".

"genya!"

"what?"

"are you curious?" tanjiro asked while smiling more brightly.
