My Dearest Edelweiss (Human AU)

Part 2

Okay so I have a  screwed up sleeping pattern and I haven't slept. So I fell asleep before I could gets this chapter put up.  So here I am again.  And maybe two more will be put up later today.

Anyways to the story!

"Who are you?"  Basch asked not knowing who it is in front of him. 

Even Roderich had to freeze at those words. "Basch....it's me Roderich. We used to be childhood friends." He said in disbelief. Is this some kind of sick joke or something? Then again he's never known the  other to joke.

"Friends? I had a friend? I don't remember you..." The Swiss replied. "I don't know where I am?...I'm lost..." He said very confused and dazed.

Roderich stood there. He couldn't believe Basch didn't remember him.  Noticing how lost he looked. He grabbed his arm gently  before the other can wander off to get more lost than he already is.  Leading him over to a bench to sit down.

"Sit down. Is your sister with you?" Roderich asked sitting beside the blonde.

The blonde shook his head.

"I see. Then I guess you came here alone." The Austrian sighed softly.

Roderich watched Basch staring at some ducks by the pond, swimming about in the water.  After an hour of sitting there.  They hear a voice. It is Lili.

"Big brother! There you are. I've been worried about you.  You should've been back by now....." Lili said before noticing the person with her brother. She smiles. "I see you have Mister Roderich with you. Hello mister Roderich." She said politely as ever.

"Hello Lili. It nice to see you again." He said with a soft smile. "Though I must ask. Why doesn't Basch remember me? Or being rather forgetful?" Roderich asked the Sweet girl.

Lili frowned at that. "Big brother was in a bad car accident last year.  You see someone ran a red light and hit big brother. It gave him a bad head injury, so it left a crack in his skull. He lost all his memories, so their not sure if they'll  return. And it's left him forgetting a lot of things. I always have to tell him who I am. So he doesn't remember you at all." She explained.

"I didn't know...but I hear your in College now. So that leaves him at home alone." Roderich said  looking at the young girl.

"I know. I'm worried when I leave to go back. He'll go out and get lost.  And I don't want anything to happen to him." The poor girl frets over the only sibling she has.

"I'll take care of him for you. He'll come stay with me." Roderich said with no room  for rejection.

"Really? That's  great!" She chirped brightly.

"Well....I can't leave him like that.  Who knows what would happen to him." The Austrian chuckled. He also misses his dear friend. "I'll do it because I care about him." He added. And maybe because he's been in love with him for so long. He feels bad for not being there during his accident.  But he had been very busy.

"So Basch. Your staying with me starting tomorrow." Roderich said.

Basch nodded and kept watching the ducks  in the pond as they quacked.
He didn't quite understand why he was going to stay with the other male. But he didn't really have any objections. His sister looked less worried and more relieved.  Its a good thing right?

"Okay then." Basch said. "I still don't understand though..." He added on.   He felt he can trust Roderich.

"Well  that's settled. Its time to go home now. I made dinner." Lili stated.

With that Basch is taken home. Tomorrow he would go stay with Roderich.
