"No way. I'm never going out for this city sightseeing of yours. Forget it." Millie and Dahlia were in their room trying to make as less noise as possible but Millie's cries were getting louder. Dahlia couldn't understand why her little sister was being so pushy about it.
"Stop being a baby." Dahlia countered. "You agreed earlier."
Well, Millie thought she had a good enough reason to freak out over it.
"But that was before I knew who it was." She was pacing around the room still trying to wrap her head around the identity of the men Roy and her picked up from the airport last night.
It's said that once in a while, what comes out of your mouth becomes real and Millie had no one to blame for it but her own mother.
"Millie, if you don't go--" Dahlia started to threaten her but their mother burst through the door calming both her daughters down. There were guests in an audible range and the news of the two of them fighting behind closed doors was the last rumour their mother wanted.
"Dahlia, don't stress yourself out." She had to take care of her skin now that the wedding was approaching fast. Nobody wanted stress breakouts on the face. "And Millie, we gave you a choice."
That was it. Done deal. Last word.
Just as Millie walked out the door after hearing the ordeal with heavy steps mentally deciding on taking Fiona along, Dahlia closed the bedroom door behind her. Now with only her mother in earshot, she chuckled.
"I almost feel bad for her." Dahlia laughed.
"Slow down, I don't want Millie hearing us." Her mother shushed her. They had to be careful about their conspiracy because Millie was born with sharp senses. "Besides, I think Rajesh is a nice guy. If everything goes out as planned, maybe Millie wouldn't hate the idea us of setting her up so much."
"Maybe." Dahlia thought but she knew how mad her sister would get when she found out.

Fiona was busy applying make up when Millie sprinted into her room with the intention of even stooping down to beg her to come with her but that was not needed. As it as, Fi stayed away from all the wedding-drama because she had already been through the nightmare once and it was enough. One thing of Fi that Millie was a fan of, was the belief that Fiona held; love ruins life.
"I owe you one." Millie hugged her aunt although she hated to think of Fi as such but liked to tease her sometimes about it. "Aunt Fiona."
"Say it again and you're off alone." Fiona rolled her eyes and laughed when she noticed the look of horror on Millie's face. She planned on asking what was making Millie so paranoid about going out with these two hot young studs alone but didn't have the time to hear some long-shot past life story. They could do that sometime later.
"We're leaving." Roy called out to the ladies as a final call as he heard the coherent talks of the two. Millie was continuously apologising and off they were, to fill into the spacious SUV that would be their ride of the day.
How bad Millie wished she could find a pit like Alice from Alice in wonderland to fall into and disappear.
Not a minute later after they settled down, stepped in the two men. Nothing had particularly changed about them except they both looked well rested; well atleast , the taller one looked more ravishing than he did last night.
The shorter one, however had thick sand brown, probably dyed, hair and brown eyes that were shining as he wore a smile and greeted Fi and Millie, in that order. To Millie, this one seemed to be having an inclination towards Fi more than her, not that she cared.
"Rajesh, hi." He introduced himself and Millie smiled.
As for the handsome taller man, Millie had no intention of looking him in the eye; for quite a few reasons.
"We haven't quite had a proper introduction even after all these times." He held out his hand to Millie in a friendly gesture but all she wanted to do was lower her gaze from his deep brown eyes and curl her toes in her shoes being embarrassed.
Seriously, doesn't karma have better work to do than haunt her? Again and again.
"Millie." She said and shook hands with him despite not physically wanting to. His grip was firm and he held this mischievous smile like he remembered everything.
No, no.
If only, Millie was in Hogwarts she could use some memory loss spell. What was that spell, she could try in the real world although she'd be expelled from school over it.
"Eric." He smiled back.
"You two know each other?" Fiona was perplexed as she gathered her attention from Rajesh and showered it all over Millie and Eric.
"No." Millie said.
"Yes." Eric said at the same time as her making them both face each other.
Now, what?
"I mean--" Millie was lost because admitting she met Eric out of her erratic ways, one night drunk would be shameful and make her appear a lot more like Fi. She didn't want that. She liked her image of a typical tamed girl as it is.
"Same friend circle." Eric covered up and Millie breathed a sigh of relief.
Quality number one, spontaneous. She liked that.
Oh, wait. No.
She didn't mean that. She didn't like nothing. Not Eric, to say the least. He was an embarrassment.
"And the airport." Millie remembered and whispered to him making sure Fiona couldn't hear this time. It would be a nightmare admitting to Fi about the spilled coffee drama. "Oh my God, it was you."
"Indeed it was." He agreed but Fiona and Rajesh seemed to be in their own little world chatting about some darn thing Rajesh saw on the airport.
"I'm sorry, I'm such a klutz."
"Don't worry about it." He laughed.
"Buckle up everybody, we're off to see the real Mumbai." Roy adjusted his rear-view mirror smiling back at all before the engine roared to life and all five youngsters set off for a day out.
Oh, wait. Millie had so many questions that needed answers. Especially about that night of rampage.
They now had to be put on hold until a better time. And the wait was an incredibly long one.
