Chasing Bella

Tomorrow is an important day. 

The day Amadrya Bella Laurent finally turns twenty one, she's been waiting forever to turn twenty one.  She has finally saved enough money and is going to her dream school, Harvard. 

She got the acceptance letter in the mail on Tuesday and her dad and her went out to celebrate because she has worked so hard to get where she is, despite everything that has happened to Amadrya. 

She has been going to her local college to save money and has worked on her application while working 3 jobs to not only save for college but to help her dad.  Amadrya's mom passed away after she was born due to complications in childbirth, making her the only child.    

Her dad always provided for her and did his best so she didn't have to work in highschool so she decided to stay here for a while after high school and work to help out after everything he has done for her.    

She didn't ever get to know her mom the way her dad knew her, he called her his angel because she saved him.  Amadrya's dad was driving one night, before he met her mother and a drunk driver hit him.  He was in the middle of nowhere bleeding out while the other driver managed to get away leaving him there alone, in the dark of the night. 

Her mother happened to be driving that night, down that exact road, and she spotted him with his car flipped completely upside down.  She immediately stopped and got out of her car to call 911 and help him control the bleeding.  If it wasn't for her mother her father wouldn't be here today. 

"Ami!" Her dad called up to her from her room.

"Yes, dad?" Amadrya spoke in a soft tone as she peeked her head out of the doorframe glancing down the stairs. 

"I have an early present for your birthday tomorrow, come open it quickly!"

She rushed down the stairs and she was filled with excitement and curiosity of what it could be. 

She walks into the living room and saw the most beautiful flat rectangular box with a gorgeous black bow on top. 

"Well, go ahead and open it!"  he says as he gestures his hand to the box. 

She tears the paper from the gift to reveal a box with the words Gucci, she couldn't contain her gratitude and squeal from excitement as she rushed over to give her dad the biggest hug. 

"Open the box!" He laughs as he hugs her and then removes her arms from him. 

Amadrya opened the box and saw the black Gucci wallet that she had been gushing over for years. It has a red interior and two looped gold GG's on the front of it.

She looked at the wallet and ran up and threw her arms around her dad's neck and gave him a death hug all while thanking him. 

"Thank you so much dad, you have no idea how much this means to me"

"You deserve it, as hard as you've been working to provide for the both of us." 

Which was all true her dad loved his daughter so much and was so proud of the young woman she had become.  After his wife died he fell into a depression he would never let Amadrya know about.  He decided that the best thing to do was to prioritize Amadrya to honor his wife's memories, because he knew that's what she would've wanted.  

There was a pause as the only thing that mattered was the hug shared between the two that made them both feel like nothing else in the world mattered. 

"But that's not the only thing I got you" A smile forms on his lips as he pulls out another bag but this one has a red bow on the strings of the bag.
