Its raining, not stars,

but rocks, I see from afar.

How small they look, how big they really are,

Its raining, raining in that sky of stars.

Its cold, but I don't mind,

I'm too busy witnessing this phenomenon,

truly one of a kind.

A meteor here, one there,

Oh how quickly they move, its unfair.

I want them to move slow, I want time to slow down,

So that I may witness this magnificence and drown.

Drown in the beauty of the universe and all that it has,

drown thinking there's so much to see,

so much that is and has been.

Nebulae, planets, stars and black holes,

what else might be out there, no one knows,

but I want to know,

what is out there, in that universe that grows,

every second, every day,

I do wish that someday, I find a way,

to get close to the cosmos that light up the sky,

I want to get close, just once before I say goodbye.
