Ashley's POV]
The building as a blaze, as I gripped my hand gun, aiming it at the distant figure.
"Don't you dare move!" I demanded, as I kept my gun trained on then.
The figure walked closer, as it did I opened fire shooting at them. They were unphased by it, as they walked close enough, they grabbed me by the throat. They raied their sword, soon plunging it into my body. I yelled as I woke up in a cold sweat...It was just a dream, I tell myself.
I get up for the day, getting ready for work. I worked as a Special Forces Operative, I specialize in swords and arcane arts. After getting ready, I get in my car and drive off to my workplace. After a thirty minute drive, I finally arrive. I enter the building, soon greeted by my friend Logan, he was a firearms expert. "Yo, what's up Ash?" He called me by my nickname, "Not much." I flashed him a smile, "What about you?" He returned the smile, "Just working on the investigation." I nodded as we walked to our office. We were investigating a terrorist organization, well...they are like terrorists..they're really just a group of Arcana and Dark Art users, who are hellbent on something..that we don't know yet.
Logan showed me a map, "I've tracked down their last meeting place to this building here on Rose Street. Maybe if we check it out, we can find some clues to lead us to their next meeting place.""Well, it could work. Though we'd have to keep a low profile, we can't just go into a random neighborhood, guns blazing." Logan frowned, I sigh. Was going in guns blazing, to a probably empty building really what he wanted to do? What an idiot...
"Let's take it calmly, and not whatever you want to do." He sighed "Fine..." He was a bit saddened.I walked off to see our Arcane Arts expert, William. He looked up at me, "Oh, Hello Ashley!" He gave a goofy grin. "Hey Will~ I have a question."
"What can I help you with?" I smiled soft, "Can I get your contacts number?" He sighed, "Are you sure you want it...? He isn't really the most straight forward person. He has his own motives...he is...an enigma." I gave him a serious look, he gave in giving me his number. "Don't say I didn't warn you." He went back to his work, I need this contact for our investigation. I went back to my office.I decided to give this contact of his a call, the phone began to ring, soon he picked up, "Hello?" I spoke into the phone, he responded. "Why hello there, you must be who William said would contact me."
"Yes this is Ashley, I'm with the Eclipse City Special Forces, I hear from William that you can be a valuable asset.""Curious, I don't recall him saying that to you today." I froze, "How would you know that..?" I questioned, "Well my dear Rose, I have my ways. Meet me at the maid cafe down the street, we can talk more there."
"Wait a min- " he hung up. Letting out a sigh, I begrudgingly got up, I know we need his help but still, could've atleast been more, informative instead of wanting to meet me. I got up and headed for the maid cafe. Not knowing what to expect.
