His eyes fluttered open. The first thing he felt was his neck being crushed "Help" he choked out.  His name was King Tut.  His whole body burned from the torment of his punishment. "I can't breathe," he whispered as his vision went dark. *WOOSHHH* his body was flung forward. His eyes fluttered open, but were in strain by the red glow of molten rock.   White hot flame gushed from the floor at random periods.  In the center of all of it was a sadistic looking man with bloodshot eyes. Sitting on an obsidian throne raised above the chaos.
"Welcome to hell," he said in a shivering, raspy voice.
"Wait, what do you mean? Where's Anubis?" his mind raced, and his thoughts deteriorated until he understood. The poor travels that had preached of a Christ that had saved all who would accept him... they hadn't lied. Now he was doomed to eternal damnation.
"Anubis?" the man asked. "Oh wait- don't tell me you actually believed that stuff right?" he asked in a deranged tone. He burst out into a blood curdling laughter. "WELL YOUR IN FOR A TREAT YOU DIRTY SINNER."
"Bu- how. We saw the Gods perform miracles before us."
"IT WAS ME! YOU STUPID MORTAL, I USED MY POWERS TO PREFORM SMALL HEALINGS AND YOU ALL FELL FOR IT! You know what? You interest me..."
"Wha- What do you want."
"Well if you happen to take care of a few things for me I might just pull you out of your sentence a few times here and there. Or well until the body is taken. Then we'll all be damned to the eternal lake of fire." Tut remembered hearing something the poors told him.  The followers represented the body of Christ, and the second coming an event  where The Christ would  take the Church away from earth, along with all his followers.
"Deal." At that very moment it felt as if a cold splash of water struck him and his eyes flew open. He was standing in front of the village that his empire had been built on.  A clay tablet was in his hands with the words, Save a child's life inscribed in in a dark blood red ink. " This should be easy," he thought.  His first idea was to travel north bound to the creak where there was sure to be children, immaturely leaning too close to the water below that spun and rushed like the winds of a sandstorm . Once he arrived the first child he spotted conveniently was close to the edge. But none were in the water itself. He had a thought if he pushed one of them in he could just save them and his task would be completed.  Although not thinking morally has its downfall especially when you're making up for your sins. But alas he had already committed to the idea. Tut dashed towards the child and shoved him in. He let a few seconds pass and then he went to jump in.... CRASHHHH he felt a bone in his  shoulder move, writhing pain filled his arm. His nerves screamed in agony, he felt as if he had fallen on cement from the top of the pyramids.  He choked on a cold liquidy substance, he could barely breathe. Then everything stopped. His vision glazed over red and he was in hell again.
"Well what do we got here?" Satan asked.
"I- what was that?"
"The pain you caused that little boy... but well multiplied by 1 million," he giggled a demented laugh as he spoke. "You know it doesn't work like that, I'll let  this one slide but next time you might not get so lucky."
Once again the feeling of cold water ran on his face and he saw the boy in the water. He dashed forward, arched his back and dove into the water. He caught hold of the young boy's skin and pulled him to the surface. Adrenaline pumped in his veins as he threw the boy up onto land. After using all his strength he pitfully climbed up a mound of dirt and sand, and laid sprawled on the ground. He remembered a time back in his real life when he had watched  from a balcony as people hiked every day to this very river, just to supply the palace and village with water.
He looked back down at his tablet and in the spot where his previous task had been he saw a new one. "Serve your people" it stated.
"What is sErVe yOuR pEopLe supposed to mean", he thought. He remembered, when he died there was tension between Egypt and a rebel group. Maybe the tablet was referring to a war.  He walked to the village and found a farmer who didn't look as if he was doing too well. He walked into his fields and asked him "Is there a war going on right now?"
The farmer looked at him with a confused gaze,"Well of course ever since the king passed the rebels have taken the chance to attack us."
Tut noticed his stomach grumble. "Do you happen to have some spare bread?"
"Well yes, but as you may have noticed, money has been tight lately...I'll tell you what work these crops for just 30 minutes and I'll get you a fresh loaf."
"Really!?" Tut exclaimed. He immediately got to work. Well he didn't show it, He was secretly pleased at his subjects kindness. He wanted to reward him, now normally he could do this by just sending him a few gold bars. But in this case he didn't have such a luxury. He had already made up his mind though he started to sprint between crops, being hasty but thorough. By the time his 30 minutes were up he had finished the entire field. He stood back and admired his work.
"Wow, Fast worker aren't you."
"Well, yes I guess so."
"Anyways here's your bread." Tut walked off until he was roughly 50 feet away from the man and scarfed the whole loaf down. He lay on the ground satisfied at his accomplishment. He pulled out the tablet and realized the task had been completed. His heart warmed and he felt real joy for the first time since he had died.  Cold water washed over his face followed by a red glaze covering his sight. He was back in hell.
"Well look at you, serving your fellow man and all that crap," he cackled sarcastically. "Although I was hoping you would have to go to war,"  Satan said.
"Then why didn't you just make that the task?"
"Well I didn't make the tablet I just gave it to you. Think of it as aaaa Special delivery! Anywho one task left good luck! NOT"
Tut looked down at his tablet and engraved in red was "Save your son" before he could look up his world morphed around him and he was back in the village. "My Son?" he thought out loud. "How will I even get to him? He is literally being guarded by the most gruesome, and barbaric but never less talented warriors in all of egypt." His mind circled back to saving his son, was he in danger? He dashed towards the palace. He made it to the gates and shoved through the lower class guards.
"HEY GET BACK HERE PEASANT"
"NO CAN DO," tut screamed back. His leg mussels burned like charred steel. But still he ran, he made it near the doors of the main quarters and spotted the guards staring at him with a threatening gaze. He saw a spear hung decoratively on the wall and with a burst of strength he strained every muscle in his body to its breaking point, and snatched it off the wall. He wasted no time as he continued to dash forward. A guard charged him, tut dodged to the left and thrust the spear into the man's rib popping his left lung. He broke the shaft off the end of the weapon. Blood dripped like red rain from the splintered tip. The second guard attacked, he dropped to his side, and rolled off his back he shot up, redirecting the force of the fall he twisted his back to face the man. Without hesitation he drove the razor sharp wood through his neck piercing his central throat and decapitating him. His mind clouded and despite being flooded with adrenaline he wasn't anymore of a gymnast. He landed heavy and rolled his ankle, he couldn't let that stop him now. He limped towards the door. He heard a scream as he lunged forward into a full out sprint and burst through the doors. He observed a man with a tipped arrow pointed at his son. The man let go the vibration of the bow string seemed to stop time and Tut leaped in front of his son. He felt the arrow sink into his chest, his nerves burned with the weight of his agony. Dark red blood covered the golden floors. Then it all went dark.... Cold water washed over his face and all his wounds were healed.
"BRAVO!" Satan screamed.
"I did it..." tut said grimley.
"Oh yes you did little mortal yes you did. So you are ready to return to your sentence then?"
"Wai- what? You were supposed to free me."
"Well, I lied.."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LIED? YOU CAN'T SEND ME BACK!"
"Ah I can actually," Satan said with a giggle. "OH come on the devil? LIED TO YOU! HOW IS THIS A SURPRISE? OF COURSE YOU GET YOUR FULL SENTENCE"
"N- no." Tut muttered
"BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT I LIKE JUST A LITTLE MORE THAN BLACKMAILING FOOLISH MORTALS? WATCHING THEM SUFFER FOR ETERNITY!" Tut felt as if the weight of the sky had just fallen upon him. He breathed faster then he ever had and his skin started to burn up. The world morphed around him and he was back in his punishment. He tried to whimper but the weight on his chest was too heavy to allow for breath. He tried to cry but he was so thirsty and ran dry nothing came.
Then like a gift from God a trumpet rang. Anything to distract his from his pain. But then he felt the weight upon him getting lighter air around him became hotter but still the weight became less. It accelerated even faster and before he knew it he was standing again the trumpets still ringing.
"SATAN," he screamed. He recalled his talk earlier and knew that if he was going to burn for eternity, he sure as anything would take his revenge first. He saw the wretched man in a suit just about 30 meters away he sped up and went into a full dash.
"That's enough," said a man in the most calming and loving voice he'd ever heard. He turned to see a middle eastern looking man in white robes. A golden sash held his silk garment up.
"Wh- who are you?"
"I am your creator," Tuts mind rushed but then all at once he understood. He fell to his knees and begged for forgiveness. "Be calm my child. I know of what מביא אור put you through"
(Just a PS before Satan was kicked out of heaven  מביא אור was Satan's name. It means "brings Light'' in hebrew)
"So... what now?" Tut asked knowing that the poors had preached that only those who accepted Christ on earth would be graced.
"I'll make an exception," the man said.   At that moment he got a similar feeling to when he was transferred from earth to hell so many times. But this time he felt safe and tranquil opposed to fear and judgment. Before he knew it he was at a golden gate encrusted with emeralds and diamonds. "So this is the one?" a voice asked. It gave the similar effect as the man in robes but this one also demanded respect and praise. At first tut took this slightly defensively until he turned to see the man sitting on a throne. His gaze filled his body with an undying fire of peace. "I heard of your situation," the man said.
"Wh-Who are you?"
"I am the father, creator of the universe, and this is my son," he gestured to the man in the white robes.
"Who was that man?" Tut asked referring to the who had attempted assasinating his son.
"He was a rebel spy sent by an enemy group of your nation," the Father responded.
"Well, what happened to him?"
"He was caught by guards shortly after you died.  He is under trial right now actually."
"I- alright."
"Enough with these questions of the past, my child. Welcome to your new home." The Father said.  With that tut turned to the gates and walked into the golden lights, just the start of eternal bliss ahead.
