Jack flattened himself against the back of an oak. The only sound in the forest was the sound of a shotgun reloading. Jack was a large monster, standing almost 7 feet tall with long, shaggy black fur, long antlers, and a thick, silk white skull. He could easily kill his huntress, but he felt too attached to her. He could easily end this game, but he chose to keep playing. He didn't want it to end.
It's been nearly 3 years since she started hunting him, and she was determined to bring home his head. She despised his kind. Vile, evil, disgusting monsters. After her village was ravaged by these creatures, she has dedicated her life to destroying them all, one at a time, starting with this worthless piece of trash. These monsters deserved whatever happened to them.
Her ears pricked, and she pivoted. She could see white antlers just barely peeking out from behind a large oak tree. She aimed her shotgun and creeped forward slowly. The crunching of leaves gave her away and her prey lurched forwards towards her, jumping over her. Rosaline shot her gun at the creature as she felt her shoulder split open. She dropped her gun with a scream and reached backwards to try and stop herself from bleeding out. Jack stopped in his tracks and looked back. The huntress was on her knees, one hand on her bleeding shoulder, and one bloody hand clutching a small dagger, far too small to do any real damage against him. He creeped into the shadows, watching the huntress slowly bleed out.
