Rosaline woke up to Jack, who was holding a deer carcass at the cave entrance. She flinched back, and Jack looked at her with empty sockets. He tore a piece of deer's flank off and tossed it to Rosaline. She wrinkled her nose and picked up the bloody piece of gore.

"I can't eat this." She said, holding out the meat to Jack, who was busy with the innards of the deer.

"Why not?" He said, licking the blood off of his skull.

"It's raw, people cook their food with fire." Rosaline said.

"There are matches somewhere over there, we will cook outside" Jack said, pushing the boulder where Rosaline's chain was connected to a slide and lifting the chain. Rosaline followed Jack outside, and he wrapped the long chain around a tree, and placed a large rock on the end of the rock. Jack put her chain back inside, and she laid down to go back to sleep. She shivered on the cold stone, and she wrapped herself in the blanket. Still chilled to the bone, she asked Jack if he had more blankets. He shook his great head, and crept closer. He laid near her. His long thick fur sure looked warm. Rosaline hesitantly shuffled closer and closer, until she was pressed against the warm flank of her ex-prey.
