Of course get put to sit with Seth and Harry.

Maybe it will be fun, eh.

As I look to Harry's face, he is smirking. This should be interesting. I walk over to my desk, and plop into my chair.

"Hey Charlotte, excited for the party Friday?" Harry says.

"I don't think I'm coming, what's it to you?" I spit.

"Oh nothing, just wondering if you were coming. I hear it's going to be great."

Great, so now Harry wants me to come to this party now? I feel flattered, but it doesn't sit right with me.

"Okay class, today we will be reviewing from last year. Please take out your composition notebooks." Ms. Stevens instructs.

As I hear the bell ring, I jump to my toes and head out the door. I'm glad I'm off to my next class, away from Harry, and getting on with my day.

As I walk to Math, I envision going home and taking a nap.

--

I arrive at lunch and sit next to Nathan and Amy.

"How were your classes?" I ask.

"Boring, to be short, and completely honest." Amy says.

"The usual." Nathan replies.

"What interesting topics we have going on." I smile.

"Well, did you hear about that huge party this Friday, it's at Seth's house. Apparently his parents are out of town or something." Amy says, "I'm definitely going, what about you Charlotte?"

"Well, I just don't know. Also, who throws a party the first week we get back to school anyway?" I question. Seriously, who does that?

"Seth throws a party this time every year though. It's like his thing. I've heard it only gets better year by year. Especially since he is a senior this year, it is supposed to be the best yet." Nathan says.

"Oh please go Charlotte!" Amy exclaims, "It just won't be the same without you. I think the whole grade is invited too."

"I don't know.." I have a lot of stuff to do, such as Netflix, and laying around doing nothing.

"Oh come on, just go. We both know you have nothing going on on Friday." Nathan states, truthfully.

"Fine, whatever. I'll go."   "Yay!! Thanks for coming." Amy smiles.

I'm regretting this already. Although it seems like a fun time. I need to get out of the house anyway.

------

It's finally Friday, and the party is tonight. I already agreed to come, and I sure as hell cannot back out now. Plus, there might be a good story for my article there tonight.

As I arrive to English, I have one thing on my mind. Seth.

Seth is believe it or not, my ex boyfriend. We were actually quite the item Sophomore year. A lot of things have changed though. A lot. The main reason I broke up with him, was for two things. He completely changed, and he was of course, cheating on me.

I guess I used to be even 'popular,' but back then I had a lot of fake friends, so I left that lie behind and started hanging out with Amy and Nathan.

As I walk into the room, my eyes fall on Seth's. He stares back at me, with a soft look to them.

I walk past him a little, and then sit in my seat. Right in front of him. I really need to get a seat change.

"Are you coming to my party tonight?" Seth whispers behind me as Ms. Stevens is explaining something.
