Words Full of Fluff

A dozen red roses,
For me he chose,
A box full of chocolate,
Courting I suppose.
A candle-lit dinner,
Two places set,
Later a planned dance,
For a night to not forget.
And to win my heart,
As if he's not done quite enough;
Sonnets he said he wrote,
With words full of fluff.
And whilst he tried his hardest
He built around himself his nest.
