"NURSE LANE! HELLO?" Ziggy called out, entering the office with Ronni.

"I'm in trouble again. Help." She added with the lack of enthusiasm.

Silence.

"Miss Mary!" It was Ronni's turn to call out, wondering where the lady was.

Silence.

"Come on, Nurse Lane! I could die any minute now!" Ziggy said, starting to lose patience.

They took a look around and noticed a slightly unlocked door. They entered the room, curious, and Ziggy immediately noticed a specific notebook on the desk. As Ronni looked over her shoulder, she flips the page.

Ruby Lane, Nurse Lane's daughter, was featured in a photograph. On the other side, there was a symbol known as 'the Witch's Mark.' Ziggy and Ronni knitted their brows and stared at the book, trying to figure out what the design meant.

"What are you doing here?" A voice suddenly spoke, surprising the duo.

"Oh my god, Nurse Lane! You scared the shit out of me." Ziggy gasped, slightly laughing.

Nurse Lane just nods, looking upset and confused for some reason.

"Are you okay, Miss Mary?" Ronni asked in concern.

Nurse Lane was about to respond when Ziggy brushed through hair with her fingers, revealing the burn.

"Oh my goodness! Ziggy, Ziggy, Ziggy. What did you do now?" Nurse Lane sat down, starting to treat the burn.

"Okay, so you're gonna apply this ointment once a day for three days." She calmly said, spreading the balm around the mark.

"It's gross." Ziggy replied, earning a slight nudge from her girlfriend.

"You'll survive." Nurse Lane said.

Ronni sighed, hesitating whether or not she should mention anything about what they saw.

"So, uhm...what's with the witch's mark?" Ziggy casually spoke as Nurse Lane looked up.

"You know about my daughter, Ruby Lane, right?" She asked.

"I don't—

"Of course you do. Everybody talks, I know. Tell me, what do they say?" Nurse Lane sincerely spoke.

"Uhm..." Ziggy doesn't know where to start.

"They say she killed people at a party. Seven. Seven friends." Ronni replied.

"Eight. She killed herself that night too. So eight." Nurse Lane corrected.

Ziggy and Ronni looked down, imagining how hard it must be since she lost her daughter.
