Part 9: The Occult Research Club

Y/N POV:

I was currently making my way to the Occult Research Club, where their president wanted a meeting with me for some reason. Yet I didn't know why, but deep in my mind, I thought it was because they wanted to kill me. After all, I managed to see a fallen angel.

I stopped in front of the door for the president office before knocking and getting told to get in. As I stepped inside the office, I managed to spot issei standing just ahead of me. Managed to spot koneko sitting on one of the couches eating a candy bar. Saw also a redhead girl sitting behind a desk with a raven-haired girl close and finally Kiba standing near a window.

"You must be y/n right?" The redhead woman asked while sipping her tea.

"Correct, and you must be the president right," I questioned.

"Yes, I'm Rias, and this is akeno beside me and, you have already met Kiba and koneko," She told me with a smile before standing up.

"Nice to meet you and nice to see you Koneko," I told them while koneko were watching us quietly.

"The reason why you both are here is that we wanna show you something," Rias said as she and the others except Issei and Akeno brought out their devil wings. Issei seemed surprised, but I just raised an eyebrow since I already knew about this because I had seen a little bit of the dxd show in my past life.

"You don't seem surprised y/n," Akeno said.

"Well, I knew already you exist to a degree, thus I'm not that surprised, but what about you akeno, are you also a devil?" I asked her since she never brought out her wings.

"I'm a devil I just don't like to show off my wings is all," She answered back.

"Right, why I'm here in the first place then? Since you seem more interested in Issei here," I said as I looked over to Issei who was staring wide-eyed.

"Well, you don't seem normal since you didn't seem to be surprised by a transforming human, and my magic didn't seem to affect you mr y/n," Rias said as she walked from her desk.

"Most humans wouldn't have followed issei thanks to rias magic, but here you still seemed to neglect it somehow even though you seem completely human," Akeno also said.

"Right, everyone got their secrets, so what is this meeting about other than showing us you are devils," I questioned while slapping Issei on the head to get him out of his trans.

"Because I have an offer for the both of you," Rias said while walking over to us with a slight sway in her hips, Issei, who seemed to almost lose his mind but, I just paid no attention to it.

"What is this offer?" Issei said while watching Ria's hips sway.

"To join my peerage," She said with a smile.

"What is a peerage?" Issei questioned.

"It's like chess where each respective member is a piece such as a knight or a rook," She told Issei and brought out a pawn.

"So if I take this, I'm part of your peerage?" Issei asked while looking at the pawn.

"Not exactly since you already are because I used eight pawns to bring you back to life after you were killed,"

"Then which is it for?" He asked again but, I already knew the answer to that.

"Well y/n's if he wants to join my peerage," She said while looking at me with interest.

"Sorry, but I'll have to decline since I don't like taking orders from people," I told her, and she pouted before taking the piece away and walking to her desk again.

"Understandable, but I have a question for you, and for this, you need to leave Issei," She said while taking a seat and drinking her tea.

"But why?" He asked, but Rias just ordered Kiba to take him away which he did.

"Now, why were you at the spot Issei were killed?" She asked and, I became surprised since I didn't think she would be able to spot me.

"I don't know what you are talking about," I told her, wishing she would drop it.

"No point in playing dumb since I managed to spot you," Rias said, and I just let out a sigh.

"Heh, I thought none would spot me. I was at the spot because I personally don't like Issei and his perverted side then when he introduced me to his "girlfriend" I got bad feelings about it, so I followed them on their dated and managed to sneak ahead of them to see him get killed," I half lied to her. Then after I finished talking Rias, and akeno gave out a little giggle.

"He is a little pervert, isn't he. You probably thought the fallen angel had enough of that didn't you," Akeno told me while giggling, and I just nodded.

"Well, alright don't feel any magical power from you, though tell me how does a human know about us," Koneko said while nibbling on a chocolate bar.

"Had a childhood friend who was a devil, and I one day managed to spot his devil wings, but why did you want me in your peerage rias,"

"Understood, and the reason is that I find you very interesting, and you could provide a useful asset," Rias said with a sultry smile before regaining a neutral face.

"Right anyway are we done here, since It's getting late," I asked not even bothering to stay here any longer.

"We are goodbye y/n it was nice meeting you," Rias said, and I told them all goodbye before going home.

"Well, that was interesting to listen to," the system said as I dropped my school bag on the floor.

"It was, and hopefully they won't ask any more questions," I said before heading into the dungeon to level up a bit more.
