CH 15

Hi, sorry for my lack of update, but, I'll resume my ongoing works on the following days. Just one more chapter to go on this. Hope you like it, take care...

CH 15

"I just don't believe in her word anymore..."

It's heartbreaking to say it and even more to hear it. Nothing hurts more than losing the trust of those you love and right now Emily has lost Alison's trust. And, Wayne knows what it feels to stop trusting in people. After his wife walked away, leaving without saying goodbye, Wayne pulled himself out of the world and shut down so no one would break his trust again. But, just because you turn your back to the world, that doesn't mean the feelings fade away.

"Feelings... Do you still have feelings for my baby girl?"

Alison deeply exhales, she wants to say no, but she will be lying if she denies she has strong feelings for the brunette. Which makes this even worse because one part of herself wants to just jump in Emily's arms while another part of herself is trying really hard to pull away. But, can she? Can she really come back to be the heartless woman she was before Emily?

She has always been a good person but her heart didn't know how to work before Emily, she didn't know the real meaning of feeling something, till Emily came into the picture. And, it amazed her like when you watch a rainbow for the first time. Alison was in a very dark place, a cold place when like a rainbow, Emily appeared in front of her eyes and just like that, her world wasn't cold and dark anymore. Everything changed for good. For the first time in her life, Alison knew how happiness really felt, how life could be so beautiful with love in it. And, that's why, it hurts so much, because the idea that all of that wasn't real, it's heartbreaking.

"Sometimes, I wish I could turn back the clock and to make things go back to how they were"

"That's naive, Alison. That's not how life works..."

The blonde knows he's right. But, she doesn't not know how to move forward. She wants to erase this sadness, this pain in her heart and, maybe that's what she's getting wrong because...

"Alison. I'm not a great dad. I'm far from being a perfect man. I've failed in so many things in my life, especially in questions of the heart. And, I've no authority to tell you what to do, but, if I may tell you something, it would be to not walk away from the pain"

The blonde frowns, she doesn't understand what he means and that's why Wayne looks at her, straight to the eyes as he says...

"No one likes the pain, Alison. No one wants to get hurt, but, life hurts and that's good. That means you're out there, living. You like it or not, life will be painful, sad even, but it can also be surprising, amazing... happy. And, when you remember the pain, how it feels, you will be able to appreciate better the good moments you might get. So, do not make the same mistakes I did, do not stop feeling just because you're scared to feel pain again. Feel, live and let it all in..."

"Even if it hurts?"

"Even if it hurts. Even if it makes you cry. Feel, Alison. Trust that tomorrow will be better. Believe that the pain you feel today, it will not last forever"

Alison smiles, tears in her eyes, no one has ever given her a pep talk 's nice...

"I know my Emy, she learns from her mistakes. And, if you give her another chance, I can assure you, she will surprise you again. In a good way"

Alison chuckles, she doesn't know if she can trust in his words. But, there's hope, that's all she can say for now. They keep talking, sometimes even laughing. And for the first time, Alison knew what it felt to have a Dad.
