Trippy was all set to solve a mystery she had a awesome magnifying glass completed with rhinestones. She had a notepad and flashlight. She had sunglasses, a beanie, and a pink trench coat.
She had superb detective skills, she was naturally really nosy. So she was good at snooping.
Really the only thing Trippy was missing was a mystery.
"If only more criminals lived around here," she said to her father. He was at the table reading the Sunday sports pages.
"What" he said without looking up.
"Nobody ever gets kidnapped. I bet there's never been a jewel heist"
Then in case her didn't know , trippy added. "That means a jewel robbery."
Trippy sighed "I wish we lived in somewhere like River Heights." That was where Nancy drew lived. Trippy loved the Nancy Drew books. She had read five books so far. "In river heights, criminals are lurking around every corner."
" Mmmmmm. Sounds fun." Her dad murmured.
Trippys mother come into the kitchen.
Trippys dog bree trailed behind her.
"Have either of you seen my snorkel mask?"
Trippys mother always had it by her and hardly ever let it out of her sight
Trippys mother poured herself coffee.
"I've looked everywhere. Its a mystery where it went"
Mystery! Trippy just heard the magic word. Okay all great detective had to start somewhere. She spread her arms. "Ta-da! Nancy Trippy. Super detective at your service."
"Aw, honey." Her mom smiled. "You'll look for it?"
"Sure, my rates are very reasonable."
Trippy paused. "Only kidding. You're family. So my services are free."
Trippy slipped on her pink trench coat. It was important to dress like a professional. "Mother. I just need to ask you a few questions." She said pulling her notepad from her pocket.
"Trust me. We'll get to the bottom of this." At that moment gazelle appeared at the back door wearing her purple trench coat.
" Miss Downer you left this at our house" gazelle was holding a snorkel mask. "Thanks!" Trippys mom said. Then she turned to Trippy. "Sorry, sweetie." Trippy scowled. Her first case was closed before it even began.
"I have to pick up books for my mother its at the twins house." gazelle told trippy "come with me."
Trippy whistle to bree to come.....
