Chapter Three (Continuation)
Fuji walks up and knocks on his door. His mom answers the door and her eyes directly focused on Fuji's injured shoulder.
Fuji's Mom: Oh my goodness! What happened?
Fuji: Calm down mom, it happened while training.
Fuji's Mom: Who's the young lady ?
Fuji: This is my teammate Miho and Miho this is my mom Mrs. Matsura
Kimono: Hey Miho, you can just call me Kimono, nice to meet you! And nice monkey you have there.
Miho: Nice to meet you as well and thanks.
Kimono: Would you like to come in ? I made dinner.
Miho: Sure
Fuji: Where's dad ?
Kimono: He's out right now he should be back soon.
They walk in and Fuji's mom sets the table, they all sit down and eat. While they're eating Fuji's mom gets a little curious.
Kimono: So umm if you don't mind me asking are you Fuji's girlfriend?
Miho: Not ex-
Fuji: I guess you could say that. *smiles*
Miho: *Hits Fuji's shoulder*
Fuji: Ow! That hurt
Kimono: *laughs*
Fuji: Mom we have something to tell.
Kimono: Mhm. What is it ?
Fuji: Well.. umm.. I
Miho: During training him and his friend were attacked and while defending himself he killed him...
Kimono:..
Fuji: Mom it was an accident and-
Kimono: *hugs him and starts crying*
Fuji: Huh ?
Kimono: I'm just glad you're safe.
Miho: We still have a big problem. We don't know when they'll strike again. Especially since one of their men was killed, they're definitely going to retaliate.
Kimono: You're right we have to report to this to Lord Second. We should go now!
The Report To Lord Second
The three of them make their way to Lord Second's office to tell him about the incident.
Kimono: Lord Second it's urgent!
Haruko: What's the meaning of this ?
Fuji: My team and I were training out in the mountains when we were attacked by a man wanting to kill us and take Maiku's demon.
Haruko: Who is Maiku ?
Fuji: MAIKU KURUSHIMA, you should know he's competing in the championship next week against your cousin Takeshi.
Haruko: Oh yea *laughs*, he doesn't stand a chance against Takeshi. He won't last a minute in the fight.
Fuji: HEY! *slams hand on the desk* I bet you he destroys your cousin.
Haruko: You got a lot of nerve kid! I'll watch it if I were you.
Miho: Calm down Fuji..
Kimono: Can we get back to the village possibly being in danger.
Haruko: Oh yea so what happened?
Fuji: I told you already, we got attacked and we defended ourselves.
Haruko: Ok, so where's this "guy" *laughs*
Kimono: I don't think this is a laughing matter Lord Second
Fuji: He's dead..
Haruko: Don't tell me you killed him ?! *laughs even harder*
Fuji: I did on accident
Haruko: So you're telling me a MERE HUMAN like you killed a demon ?! Please! *laughs*
Fuji: *balls up fist*
Miho: I think we should leave.
Kimono: Yea come on
Haruko: I'll see you at the championship round when you're friend gets humiliated in front of the whole village.
The three of them leave and while they're walking back Miho departs and goes home.
Ambush
It's the next day and Fuji's mom realizes that they're low on groceries. The groceries she needed weren't sold at the local store in the village. Fuji's dad wasn't home yet, so he had to go pick them up. He had to travel to Hogsfeet village on the countryside about 2-3 hours away. His mom asked if he wanted her to accompany him on the way but he declined, he insisted he would be fine. He makes it to the village. It's hardly anyone there. The food supply looked a little low than usual.
Fuji: Hey how are you mam? Would you happen to have any fugu ?
Store Owner: You're in luck, this is the last batch we have.
Fuji: I guess I am. *laughs*
As Fuji is on his way back he decides to take a short cut home. The short cut was just through the forest and he would only be walking for thirty minutes. When he gets near to the end of the forest four figures jump out of the trees, they began to surround him.
