A warm breeze floated across the camp. The strawberry fields moved along with the cascading winds. Campers were out on a small demigod getaway for the time being and only a few were left.
Four campers and a satyr to be exact. They themselves showed no interest in the trip. The four strolled out of all different cabins meeting in one large area specifically for dining. The satyr was already there and had fallen asleep on the stone tables of the hall.
A taller boy with dark hair and sea blue eyes approached the table with a girl on his arm. She had blonde hair with stormy grey eyes. The satyr woke up half startled. Styrofoam was plastered to his face ever so carefully.
"Percy! Annabeth! Good morning!" The satyr bleated. Percy smiled softly and looked down at the shorter girl next to him. "Where's Piper and Leo?"
"I'm sure they will be here soon. Piper has to be getting ready like never before. I mean, her boyfriend is coming today...I would be excited too," Annabeth spoke as she gazed up at Percy. The love between them was intense and anyone could see that. The satyr of course had a name. A name for which matched his natural habitat. His name was Grover.
The three sat down at the table laughing and talking nonchalantly to eachother. Smoke arose from a cabin and the smell of motor oil filled the air. All the same thoughts popped into their heads.
"Leo," they all said in unison. A small boy with smoke covered goggles strode across the field with a smile upon his face. His grease covered hands slammed into the table all at once. He lifted up his goggles with a crazy look in his eyes.
"I did it. I finally did it," he said with another crazed look. "I fixed Festus." The group shifted at his words.
"Y-You fixed Festus?" Percy stuttered. Percy had been told the stories of Festus and how it had been a lost cause. The once trusty Argo II was now a dangerous metal dragon once more. Leo nodded wildly.
"He may not be the same magnificent dragon he once was but, this time, I'm positive that he will be able to take down Titans!" Percy, Annabeth, and Grover were certainly taken back by the comment but they supported their friend.
"I think that's great Leo!" Annabeth cooed. A soft smile crossed her face in the process. Percy loved the way she talked. Just everything about her actually. The attention was suddenly drawn to a goddess like figure walking carefully through the field. It was Piper.
Piper made her way elegantly to the four and sat down next to Annabeth with a smile. "How do I look?" She mused.
Annabeth was stunned. Piper looked as if Aphrodite herself gave Piper a makeup. Actually, no one would be surprised if that did happen. "Y-You look amazing..." Piper giggled and scanned the group.
"Well, that's a relief." Her posture deflated and she relaxed into a more boy-like position on the bench. "I honestly can't wait to see Jason again. I wonder how Reyna has been treating him."
The whine of a few horses filled the air. Two in the sky and one on the ground. Piper bolted up with smile. Jason, Hazel, Frank, and unexpectedly, Reyna all hopped down from their horses with ease. Well, all expect Frank, who still had trouble with Arion.
Piper sprinted towards Jason and practically flew into his arms. It was a sight everyone enjoyed to see. Even Leo was amused with couples for once.
