When I'm with you || Max Mayfield

Chapter 2

Mr. Clarke walked around the room with the jar in his hand offering the class the jar to pick a name out. Mr. Clarke went up to Eve and said "Well look its your turn Eve!" Eve fake smiled and put her hand into the jar and grabbed a piece of paper. Eve opened it up and saw the name Max on it. "Lucky you Eve your partners with Max!" Mr. Clarke laughed and continued to walk around the class. Eve turned her head and smiled at Max "Well looks like your my partner." Max smiled and nodded her head. 

After everyone had picked out a name Mr. Clarke explained what the project was. "Okay so now that everyone has a partner I'll tell you what the project will be about. This is a science project and everyone has to make a science stand and the judges will judge whos is the best!" Eve rolled her eyes Ugh I hate science, this is gonna be soo fun..

After school Max tapped Eve on the shoulder and asked "Hey wanna be friends?" Eve nodded then smiled "Hey why don't you come with me to meet my brother at work?" Max nodded and followed Eve to the mall. As soon as they got to the mall they walked inside and went straight to Scoops Ahoy. Max made and o shape with her mouth and said "Wait Steve is your brother?!" Eve was confused and said "You didn't know? Mr. Clarke said to the whole class my last name." Max laughed awkwardly "Heh I wasn't really paying attention." Eve giggled and walked into the ice cream shop. "Ahoy there Eve!" Eve rolled her eyes "Ahoy Steve..!" Max laughed and sat on a chair next to the counter. "Hey Robin!" Eve said. "Hey Eve how was school?" Robin Asked. "how about you?" Eve asked back. Robin smiled and put 2 thumbs up. Eve chuckled and sat on a chair next to Max. "Hey could me and Max help you guys this afternoon?" Eve asked. Robin looked at Steve and shrugged "I don't see why not?" Steve sighed "Alright.. But only for today!" Eve nodded and put a smaller size of the uniform on and gave Max one too. 

"Why is this hat so ugly?" Eve asked. Robin shrugged and Steve ran up to Eve and said "I KNOW RIGHT!!" Eve took it off and placed it on the counter. "Hey you know that's against policy right?" Robin told Eve. Eve shrugged and said "Screw the company policy!" Steve's eyes widened and he said "THATS EXACTLY WHAT I SAID!" Eve laughed and smacked Steve's head. Steve laughed and watched a customer walk in. "I got-" Eve put her hand over Steve's mouth and said "Don't worry I got this one Steve." Steve frowned and folded his arms. "Ahoy there ladies what can I get for you today?" Max smiled Robin looked at Max  and then back at Eve. Eve then started scooping up 2 chocolate ice creams for the 2 girls in front of the counter. 

After Eve had done about 4 orders she decided to give Max a go. "Oh no I'm good-" Max smiled awkwardly. Eve pushed her to the counter and max stood there awkwardly. a group of girls walked in and a girl named Erica started ringing the bell "I would like to try the mint chocolate chip ice cream please!" Robin placed her palm of her forehead and said "Here we go again.." Eve looked at Robin confused "Whos that?" Eve asked. "That's Erica she always coming and asking for an ice cream samples." Max overheard them talking so she turned back to Erica and said "You've had enough samples actually you can either buy ice cream or fuck off!" Eve and robin looked at each other and raised their eyebrows. Robin laughed and then Eve and Steve started laughing to. Erica rolled her eyes and said "fine I'll BUY the mint chocolate chip ice cream then." Max smiled and scooped up the ice cream aggressively and smacked it onto the cone and passed it to Erica.

Erica rolled her eyes and let her friends order some. She poked her tongue out at Max and said  "Come on girls lets go." she stormed out of the shop and sat down on one of the benches. "Wow Max your good maybe we should hire you." Robin giggled. Max laughed and said "I'll pass!" Robin walked up to the counter and waited for their next customer. The group of boys walked in that Eve talked to at school. They went up to the counter then the boy called Mike started ringing the bell. Max went up to the counter and said "Hey guys!" Mike smiled and said "Hey." The boys looked over at Eve then back at Max. Eve rolled her eyes and started fiddling with a rope. "I didn't know you guys worked here." Max laughed "We don't, were just helping." Mike nodded and then Robin yelled "Steve your children are here!" Steve walked in with an annoyed look on his face "Again seriously?!" Mike smiled and walked into the back room with his friends following behind. Lucas whispered to Dustin and said "Do you think we should invite Eve and Max?" Dustin nodded and went back to the counter and said "Hey guys you should come!" Eve smiled and said "No thank-" until Max interrupted and said "Sure!" She took her uniform off and then Eve did to. She grabbed Eves hand and ran after the boys. Max grinned and thought Now Eve will start getting used to the boys! 

Max new Eve didn't really like Mike and his friends so she wanted Eve to get to know them so she will start to warm up to them. When they got into the movie theater they saw Eleven waving at them and telling them to come sit next to her. Mike and his friends went down the steps and sat next to Eleven. Max and Eve went on the other side. Max decided to let Eve sit next to Eleven because she thought they would be good friends. Eve walked over to the seat next to Eleven and said "Hey!" Eleven looked down and hugged Mikes arm. Eve lifted one eyebrow up but ignored her and looked at the movie. Max looked at Eve and said "Sorry she's just kind of shy and moody when she meets new people." Eve giggled "Its fine don't worry about it." 

Mike looked at Eleven and said "Hey why don't you talk to Eve?" Eleven looked up at Mike "Mouth breather." Was all she said and then she looked at the movie. Mike frowned and said "Eleven she's not a mouth breather why don't you just give her a chance?" Elven frowned and sighed "Fine.." She looked over at Eve and said "Hi.." Eve looked at Eleven surprised and said "Oh so you do talk..!" Eleven nodded and smiled. "So your El right?" Eleven nodded and said "And your Eve?" Eve smiled and said "Yeah!" Eleven laughed and Eve laughed along with her.

"Oi shut up!" Some boys said from behind them. Eve and Eleven looked back and frowned "Mouth breather!" Eleven yelled. Eve took her hand and pulled the middle finger at them. The girls sat back down and high fived each other. They both started laughing and then Eve said "Yeah they are mouth breathers!" Max smiled and saw the two were getting along.

After the movie had finished Eve and Eleven were talking the whole way out. Max actually started to feel left out and joined in there conversation. Eleven looked over at Max and said "Oh hey Max!" Max smiled and waved. Eve heard something in her head shouting "LOOK OUT!" Eve quickly turned around and grabbed the boy from the movie theaters hand and pushed him over. He slid across the concrete really far and wacked his head. Eve, Max, Eleven, and the others all gasped. Eve put her hands over her mouth and ran away. "Eve wait!" Max and Eleven yelled. They chased after her with the boys following behind. 

Eve sat down on a bench and cried. Eleven sat next to her and said "How did you do that?!" Eve cried even more "I don't know!" Eleven lifted up Eves sleeve, just then her eyes widened. It looked like she had just seen a ghost.
