A Brand New Day has been described as an "electronic hip-hop song", with instrumentation featuring a prominent daegeum, a Korean bamboo flute, and producer Mura Masa providing an accompanying beat. It is a bilingual song containing fluent English with Korean. The song starts with a wafting sound of daegeum, giving a airy and relaxed feeling. The euphonious voice of Zara Larsson and V creates a magic. And topping it with j-hope's mellifluous rap, it's a masterpiece.

Opening with j-hope:
"Fear and dread
Will I be able to overcome them?"-
a literal question you may ask yourself too.
Amount of fear and anxiety our generation have is on the top notch. But obviously at some point we have overcome it.

Pre-chorus goes like:
"Though untouchable, the future's fragments are clearly seen
A brand new world, dreams’ sentences embrace me"
This part of V clearly says even if the future is hesitant, it could be clearly seen when you're following your dream, finding a new version of yourself.

Zara Larsson's Verse goes like:

They’re beautiful
We can look at them for hours
And surrender to their power, yeah"
This lyrics movitates a person who maybe insecure about their dream and have no hopes for them, the singer tell them to embrace them and carry them until they reach their dream and made them come true.

Chorus:

(A brand new day)
Head up in the sunlight, baby
I'll be there when the day comes
When the day comes, I'll be there for you, baby
(We know the world)
Show the world just who I can be"
Someone's rooting for you! What can be more good to know apart this when you're struggling?  Nothing honestly.
Knowing someone got your is the best feeling one could ever had during a journey.

j-hope's bride:
"Oh yeah, though I was fearful, I didn't lower my head
Though I was dreadful, I just ran ahead
Because I believed in myself even at crossroads of persecution

Overall, A Brand New Day is a motivational songs with a pleasant music, which tells dreamers not to stop dreaming and chasing it till you achieve it. It may appear hard, fear and dread would be your friends at some point but befriend them for good, for your happiness.
