Dion was done with his tasks in Orion. It was about time he left for Artoria.
Artoria would be significantly more complicated. After all, it was governed by the one and only, Arthur.
Arthur was quite the governor to say the least. He was probably one of the best governors that town had ever seen in its life.
He was charismatic, good with his hands and especially strong as well.
The citizens would praise him constantly.Naturally, there were people that didn't like him much. However, they were in the minority.
Arthur and Dion were relatively close to each other. They maintained a good relationship and have known each other for a decade now.
Dion was well aware of how disgustingly competent that man was. Which was why he had to be well prepared, in the off chance that Arthur was in fact a spy. He would need a trump card.
He wrote down a checklist of things he needed before heading off to get himself new gear.
The market was as usual, bustling with activity, there were stores here and there, but Dion only had one destination. That was the store named Adventurous Supplies, introduced to him by Red.
Dion located the store and walked to it. It was a small store with little space. It was rather well maintained despite not having as many customers as the other stores.
"Welcome, boy. What d'ya need."
The old man behind the counter spoke in a uncouth manner.
"I'll need these items please."
Dion took out his list and handed it over to the old man.
The old man picked up his glasses and started reading the list.
After some time, the old man threw the list back.
"Sorry kiddo, I don't got none o' that in 'ere."
"Is that so?"
Dion pointed at a nearby sword.
"Is that sword not exactly what is on my list?"
"Huh? What sword?"
"That swo-"
Dion looked towards where the sword supposedly was, only to find no sword in that place.
(Huh?)
Dion was certain there was a sword in this shop. There was absolutely no way an "adventurous supplies" shop would not contain a sword.
"Old man, you must be joking, surely you own a sword in this shop?"
"Swords? I don't sell 'em, never will."
Dion became speechless at the old man's attitude.
"What do you want old man."
"Me? I don't need anything, 'specially not from you."
"I guess you don't want this too?"
Dion took out a pendant and dangled it in front of the old man.
The pendant was a shone a charming blue, it had magic written on it, making it shine all the brighter.
The old man's face showed a hint of surprise before calming down.
"That worthless pendant? I 'ave no need fer such garbage in my store."
"I see, that's unfortunate."
Dion put the pendant back into his pockets and left the store.
The old man looked at his leaving figure and smirked to himself before continuing his afternoon nap.
