                             Chapter One
                               Outbreak
Today I have a story about three high school students surviving an zombie apocalypse. This is how it started, on a the last day of school Mike, Jayla and Cendyn all had plans to go to the movies after school. They were at lunch when a couple of kids got sick from the food. Good thing they the three of them brought their own lunch since they hated school lunch. Due to the amount of kids who got sick school was dismissed early. So the three of them had to walk because their were still at work, Mike was the only one with a key to his house so that's where they walked to. When they got there, they were just sitting down watching TV. Thirty minutes pass and their phones start going off stating "There has been an outbreak stay inside no matter what! Cendyn gets a notification and it's a video. She shows the video to Mike and Jayla and it's a man attacking someone and he appeared to be eating him. They quickly checked every door and made sure they were locked, every window shut and all the blinds closed. They were thinking to themselves "Could that be real?", "No it has to be fake somebody's messing with us." A loud knock at the door came with a scared feminine voice screaming for help. Cendyn and Jayla insisted not to open the door for no one. Mike decided to open the door anyway, soon as he opened the girl burst in falling to the floor. Mike slammed the door shut and asked the girl if she was ok and her name. She mumbled "Steph" and then asked "Where is your bathroom?" Mike responded "Down the hall and to the right." Jayla looks out the window and sees nothing but chaos. There were people running around, houses being set on fire and people being chased a thing that was inhuman.

Jayla: We can't stay here it's not safe we have to leave NOW!
Cendyn: Where will we go when we leave ?
Mike: Well before my phone died I did get an alert saying there would be a shelter at the downtown fire station.
Jayla: AND YOU'RE JUST SAYING SOMETHING NOW ?!
Mike: I'm sorry I forgot...
Cendyn: Calm down we need to gather up our things so we can leave now.
Mike: Yea they're only accepting between the time 6:00 and 8:00
Jayla: How are we going to get there in time.. we don't have a car.
Mike: Either we'll walk and hope we get there in time or we'll have to steal a car.
Cendyn: We should just take a car, we have to think about OUR safety right now.
Mike: I agree while y'all are gathering your items I'll find us a ride.
Jayla: Take this for safety *hands him a pocket knife*.
Mike: Thanks I'll be back shortly.

Cendyn and Jayla start to gather their things and are about finished. They hear a loud thud come from the bathroom. They both stare at each other for a minute. Both Cendyn and Jayla grab a knife from the kitchen and head towards the bathroom. The closer they got the noises grew louder and louder. Jayla knocked and asked "Are you ok?" There was no response and then she asked again, still no response. She tried to open the door but it was locked. They looked at each other once more and gave each other a head nod. They both kicked the door down and was charged by an infected Steph. Steph took Cendyn to the ground but was immediately stabbed to death by Jayla and Cendyn. When they looked at her body the found a bite mark on her arm but she covered it with her jacket. Both in shock it was hard for them to catch their breaths. After they caught their breath they checked each other for bite marks fortunately they were fine. Another knock came at the door, a very aggressive one like the one from Steph. The approached the door slowly and opened it with their knives ready in hand. It was just Mike but he did manage to find a ride and told them to hurry while there's still time. They all run out the house and get into the car.

                  To The Library (Shelter)
Mike: I heard the virus was spread through the animals and that's how it got in our food.
Cendyn: That explains why every kid who are the school lunch got sick.
Jayla: So if the virus was in our feed does that mean ?..
Mike: Yes everyone who ate the lunch is no longer human.. sad to say.
Jayla: omg... *sheds tear*
Mike: All that matters is that we're ok.
Cendyn: Can we turn on some music please ?
Mike: Sure
