NYE Family Reunions

[Katrina's POV]

I yawn looking at my phone as I rest my head on Sams shoulder noticing he's still asleep.

Only 30 minutes to go on this long ass flight but hopefully the sleep has cured the jet lag before its starts as Jess' wedding is literally in 10 hours.

"Hey" Sam says kissing my head. "How long have you been awake?"

"Only for about an hour. We're nearly there." I smile up at him giving him a kiss

"Your parents will have landed by now. Are we meeting them at the airport?" Sam says checking his watch.

"I think so and then dad's driving us to the hotel." I smile looking out of the window to see if we can see land yet

"Good because there is no way that I am driving on UK roads again especially after that London trip with the boys" he says and we laugh remembering how stressed he was he fact that everything was on the left

"Yeah I want to survive thanks so we will leave the driving to Doug" I say quoting my dads name which makes Sam laugh.

My parents and 2 siblings Chantale and Taylor have flown from Canada whereas we've flown from LA so it will be nice to catch up on the car journey.

I feel the plane start to descend so I sit up in my seat and try to adjust to the lights that have just dipped in the cabin.

Its cold af and its also busy af. New year I suppose.

"Hello trouble!" dad says as he pulls me into a hug,

"Hey Sam how was the flight?" Mom asks him

I greet my siblings and we chat small talk about the last 10 hours of turbulence whilst collecting our bags.

"I still can't believe jess is getting married!" Chantale Says as we pull out of the car rental car park.

"I know she's literally 24 its crazy!" I say thinking its only a couple of years off of me

"Is she?" Sam says equally as shocked

"Yea, I'm excited to see Lottie tho we haven't spoken in ages." I say

"Is that the blonde girl you speak with on Skype at all hours of the morning." Sam says and everyone laughs knowing how loud Lottie and I are on Skype

"That's her!" I smile

Once we get to the hotel we have the most boring night and go straight to bed after dinner to ensure we have enough energy for the new years eve wedding tomorrow.

I wake up and can hear muffled talking.

"Yeah Bro it was a bumpy flight and so busy because of it been New Year but we're just waking up to go to this wedding today", Sam says down the phone trying to speak quietly as rummages through our suitcase

He sees that I have finally woken up and mouths morning to me with a wink...which makes me blush slightly. 4 years and he still gives me butterflies.
