Spencer's POV
NIGHT CAPI hand the driver a folded piece of paper with an address sealed inside before sitting down next to my wife in our sprinter van before loosening my tie.
"I'm exhausted, baby! But that was so much fun!" My wife tells me as she lays her head on my lap.
I take my hand and fiddle through her hair, which is likely, on her list of favorite things I do.
She closes her eyes and I kiss her temple and smile. "Wake up!"
"Why? You know how I get when you play in my hair!"
"You get lazy!" I joke and she sits up to smack my chest. "Is that all it takes to get you up?"
She sucks her teeth before pressing her hands against the tinted windows and noticing we're not going home.
"Excuse me! You missed our exit!" She yells and I laugh.
"Be quiet!" I tell her and she looks at me.
"Are we being kidnapped?" She panics and I laugh loudly.
"Stop, Liv!" I say before rubbing her shoulders so that she relaxes.
"Where are you taking me?" She asks seriously.
"You don't trust me?" I counter and she rolls her eyes.
"Of course, I do!"
I smile and wink before massaging her shoulders. "So just relax!"
She does just what I suggest and I feel her shoulders loosen with each rub.
"Wait, this looks like the way to my studio!" She says and I smile as we turn the corner. "Is that light?"
I watch her try and make out the bright signboard that now sits on top of her studio building.
She quickly opens the door as the van stops and I watch her eyes light up at the sign.
"Surprise," I say and she jumps up and down in excitement.
"Baby! I love it!" She yells. "My logo looks so good up there! And oh my God..."
She stops jumping and starts to tear up, prompting me to hold her close.
"You happy?" I ask because that's the only thing I ever want for my wife.
"Baby, happy isn't even the word!" She tells me and I strategically kiss the single tear running down her cheek. "Jayda didn't tell me you were putting my slogan on it."
I look at her and laugh as she squints in frustration with herself for letting the cat out of the bag!
"So you knew?" I ask and she lets out a snicker.
"Jayda took a call from you the other day while we were talking and it seemed odd that she left the room. So I pretty much bribed it out of her with free food!" I admit. "But all I knew was that you were putting my logo up. The slogan and the lights are a total surprise."
I shake my head. "Remind me to deduct her pay this week!"
She giggles before poking her lips out to kiss me.
I deepen it before she stops me.
"LITTLE GIRLS WITH BIG DREAMS," she shouts loud enough to wake up all of Manhattan.
"Yeah, I snuck a peak at your speaker's notes last week!" I admit and she smiles as she reads the sign over to herself.
"Thank you baby!" She says before wrapping her arms around my waist and lifting her chin for me to kiss her again.
