y/n listened to her playlist as she stepped out of the shower, waiting until she dried off to put on her leggings and oversized graphic tee shirt. 

fixing her hair, she put on some light makeup before walking out. vinnie was still passed out on the bed, hera curled by his feet as y/n grinned. 

she wanted to surprise her boyfriend by getting her nails done in celebration of his new rx7. she knew it was his dream car, and now that he finally finished it, she wanted to show she supported him.

so she scheduled a nail appointment as she grabbed her keys and headed out the door.

y/n showed the nail lady a picture of her boyfriend's car, picking out a matching bright yellow. the lady, who told y/n her name was kim, grinned. 

"for your boyfriend?" she asked, sitting down and prepping y/n's nails. 

y/n smiled. "yeah, he just finished up his dream car and i want to show him i care, even though i know nothing about cars." 

kim laughed, putting on the acrylics.

a hour later, y/n grinned happily as she checked out her nails. bright yellow, and on her middle fingers were, "redsuns," in vibrant red. 

deciding to make it even better, y/n picked up starbucks. 

when she made it back to the hype house, she showed the girls her nails to which they adored. 

"he's gonna love it," kouvr told her. 

"is he still asleep?" y/n asked.

"i think so. he hasn't left his room yet, anyway," mia shrugged. 

"okay. i'll go wake the baby up," y/n joked. 

stepping quietly into their shared room, vinnie stirred as his eyes opened gently.

"good morning, sleepy head," y/n laughed as vinnie pushed his face into a pillow. 

"you left me," he frowned. 

"i told you last night i had a nail appointment. but look- i got you starbucks," y/n showed him his venti coffee. 

he sat up now, his hair a mess, and took the coffee from her hands. before she could pull away, he grabbed her fingers and started inspecting them. 

"are these- are these based off the rx7?" he asked. 

"you like them?" she questioned, standing right in front of him. 

his eyes were sparkling as he looked up at her, a wide grin on his face. 

"i love it, baby. and i love you," he grabbed his girlfriend and placed her on top of him. 

"figured i could show you i love you. plus, the car is badass," she smiled, pressing a kiss to his lips. 

he hummed. "let me take you out driving." 

"when you get up, sure." 

vinnie pressed more kisses to her mouth.

"thank you, baby. i couldn't have gotten that car without you."

"i'm glad you're following your dreams, my love." 

"you're my dream. i'm gonna put a ring on your pretty little finger one day," he tiredly told her.

y/n felt butterflies erupt in her stomach. 

"and that's a promise."
