Chapter 16

Y/N'S POV

~Present day~

"Can you tell us that story again mama?"

"No darlings its time for bed"

"But mama!!"

"Please mama?"

"Yeah please?"

I sighed there was no way I was telling them that again.

"You three need sleep maybe tomorrow night"

"Huff. Fine..."

"Good now skeep well"

"Wait!!"

"Yes?"

"Can you sing us a song?"

"The one from the story?"

"Alright but then its really time for bed"

I noticed Wanda had come in and she sat down beside Tommy and Billy while I was beside Talia.

"A long long time ago, I can still remember how that music used to make me smile"

"And I knew if I had my chance I could make those people dance and they'd be happy for awhile"

Tommy, Billy and Talia all started to yawn as I sang.

"But February made me shiver with every paper I'd deliver bad news on the door step"

"I couldn't take one more step I can't remember if I cried when I read about his widowed bride"

"Somthing touched me deep inside the day the music died"

"So bye bye miss American pie drove my chevy to the levee but the levee was dry"

"And them hood ole boys were drinking whisky and rye singing this will be the day that I die this will be the day that I die"

They all were asleep so me and Wanda snuck out and quietly closed the door. We walked down to the livingroom and sat on the couch cuddling.

"I love you Y/N"

"I love you too Wanda"

I kissed her forehead and turned on the TV. I put on Wandas favorite movie when I heard a knock at the door. I got up and opened the door.

"Hello- Yelena!?"

"Can I come in please?"

"Yeah sure what happened?"

Yelena had come in crying when I closed the door she ran into my arms cryinf her eyes out.

"Whats wrong?"

She tried to talk but I couldn't make out what she was saying threw her tears so I sat down on the couch and pulled her onto my lap and hummed while playing with her hair.

After she calmed down a bit she started to speak.

"I had a nightmare that I lost you..."

"Oh darling Im sorry"

I pulled her closer and hugged her tighter as she listened to my heart beat she started to drift back to sleep.

I let her stay asleep on my lap and Wanda understood and got a snack and sat beside me resting her head on my shoulder while Yelena's was on my other one.

Eventually Wanda fell asleep and I stayed up all night making sure they both were ok.

When they woke up Yelena would not let go of me.

"I can't let go I don't want to lose you!!"

I help onto her as she held onto me for dear life. I called mama to come over with papa and they agreed. About 20 minutes later they knocked on the door and walked in.

"Woah why is Yelena being clingy?"

"Dont worry about it!"

Her words were muffled but didnt come off rude.

"Okay. Anyway Y/N why did you call us?"

"Can you babysit?"

"Of course we can"

"Thank you"

I gathered a few things suvh as my phone, wallet, and keys and Wanda packed hers.

"Bye mama thanks again guys"

"Bye sweetheart"

Me and Wanda left Yelena came with because she was latched onto me and I didnt mind. Wanda drove to Nats grave and we got out and sat next to it. Yelena didnt let go of me but she did look around a bit.

"I cant lose you too Y/N"

"You won't Yelena I promise"

She nuzzled her head into my neck as I rubbed her back. Me and Wanda spoke for a few hours till we relized it was dark. We drove home to find the kids asleep and my parents sitting on the couch.

"We are back"

"The kids are asleep and fed and everything"

"Thank you mama and papa"

"Anything for my girls"

"Anytime sweetheart"

And with that they left. I sat down and fells asleep on the couch keeping Yelena close to my heart so she wouldn't have a nightmare again.
